I'm seriously tempted to put an order in for one, now I'm about to start earning again.

Think I'll get my brother-in-law in NM to buy it Stateside and send it over as a used item, save getting raped on the price here in Europe like we normally do.

But then I'd like to upgrade my CPU to a Phenom too, and my RAM is a tad slow, and Windows Experience says my disks are slow too... hmmm... £££££££ and the moths are starting to stir in my wallet

Here is how I went about installing the new software. I am running XP SP3.

Unplug camera.

Uninstall old TIR software using XP software uninstall.

Ran registry cleaner.

Reboot computer.

Installed new version.

Plugged in camera, installed drivers automaticaly.

Started up new version good to go.

This worked for me. Mabye it will be helpfull to someone else. Thumbs Up

would only work if the damn monitor was metal (when was the last time a monitor had a metal casing)

I think there may be a misunderstanding about what is magnetic. The camera is magnetically attached to the legs so if you accidentally bump into it, nothing will break The two just sperate and then can magnetically be re-attached.

No, I do not remember seeing any voids with 6dof.

did not fly other sims with it but in IL2 there is just not enough benefit from 6 DOF. i use only 2 and it serves me great.

p.s. that could also mean that i just did not put enough effort to get used to 6 DOF

I find it comes in handy only once in a while when I can't see over my engine.

Order for TIR 5 is placed. The guy over at RC Simulations told me this morning that NaturalPoint hadn't yet shipped the unit to retailers. Prolly why everyone's showing no stock. He's expecting them in at the end of this week. I'll be chasing him then.

It was a lot more than I wanted to spend, but having had a small bonus this month for being ace, I decided to treat myself. It's paid for the X52 and the TIR, so I'm happy.
