BadAim
This is a really cool utility, that in my opinion really changes the game. http://il2fovchanger.byethost7.com/
DD_Arthur
This looks really good. Gonna try it on my lovely 22". Nice one BA
DD_Brando
How does it function with the 6DOF TIR mod BA? I heard that the two are incompatible? B
Rattler
I've been using it for a couple of months now, Brando, with no problems. I'm using a TIR3 with vector expansion.
DD_Brando
Thanks Rattler. I'm using the 3 Pro 'n Vector too, so I'll take a look at this, cheers. B

1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted October 15, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted October 15, 2009 I have just installed this and is looking good. as was posted will take a bit of setting up to bind the right keys etc. Its work great on the fw190 but on the spit vb I see the ground where the trailing edge should be. is there a fix for this or is that one of drawbacks? No Friar, there is no fix for that.

1. DDz Quorum Sid Posted October 15, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted October 15, 2009 I've been following this and can't wait to get back up and running..I've got a 22" widescreen and I feel that this looks to be a real immersion enhancer

Rattler
I did notice an odd feeling however when flying with an aircraft just off my wing however...

1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted October 16, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted October 16, 2009 Owww... shouldn't have opened that beer... All kiddin' aside, it does work. And it works fine too! (Actually, this silly image shows its potential... it can go to extreme values...) And I like the way it works, no setup to run, no uninstall... But, in my opinion, the gain on my system is too little, to keep using it. (Running on a 21.6" screen, at 1680x1050) (I like my system as lean and mean as possible, with as little maintenance as possible... I already got so much necessary stuff runnin'!) Snacko
I ended up binding the keys for min and max to the Ctrl-UpArrow Ctrl-DnArrow keys.
Perfesser
I'm sure I read something in the manual about using Shift+letter key.

DD_Brando
I must say, I have to wonder about the authenticity of some of the available views this utility provides? It seems like the seatback no longer exists, in that there's a view that allows the pilot to see the entire wing in front of him. We can all see where the cockpit is in relation to the wing....... gec
i must agree with Brando. the picture is way to distorted 4 my profaned taste

[attachment=1] so I don't see how it should be possible to obtain a view that shows the trailing edge in front of the pilot's eyeline? I think I'll pass on this one. B Those distortions are completely avoidable with the max/min zoom settings.
Perfesser
My mistake FOV changer understands only keys from A-Z and as capitals.
Snacko
Not sure what you mean by "and as capitals"? I don't have to press the shift key if I don't want to.
Perfesser
I think what he means most of all is don't use shift F12 or Alt 7. Use a letter key. I myself am amazed at how quickly vertigo took all the fun out of flying. Its cool but no thanks.
