Sweper Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Pretty amazing. The jets are almost flying lower than the spectators. Sombody wrote they are doing it twice a week? Crash, have you been there? Quote
Crash Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Not up on the hill but when I was going to Aberystwth I would hear them but most of the time not always see them. It isnt as busy as it used to be as we now have quite a small airforce and some of the American bases have closed. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted February 5, 2016 2. Administrators Posted February 5, 2016 This is the 'Mach Loop' and there's some spectacular footage about from there. Contrary to name the jets aren't breaking the sound barrier but fast and low? Yep Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Crash Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Yes it is Actually the name comes from Macynlleth which is a town near the action Quote
DD_Arthur Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Heard a guy talking about this flight on the radio news tonight. Oh er! Quote

BluBear Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Some fantastic colour footage here chaps. Really like the Hurricane colour schemes in the open minutes, I feel a co-op mission set being built around it... I've not yet sat through the whole 40+ minutes, but it was enough to make want to post it here for sure. 4 Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted February 9, 2016 1. DDz Quorum Posted February 9, 2016 Thanks for that, nice stuff.... I kinda did watch it all the way, not all that much action, but unique footage anyways! This shot: Quote
BluBear Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Yes I particularly enjoyed that! Colour footage like this always amazes me, it really makes the events of the era feel more real and recent. Quote

BluBear Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 Texas flying legends visit st barts. Seen it before but always enjoy it! incidentally the corsair and zero had a coming together last week whilst taxiing. No injuries apart from pride and both aeroplanes needing some structural attention! Poor zero didn't like having its tail chomped off Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted March 23, 2016 2. Administrators Posted March 23, 2016 Some pretty impressive low-fleigening there. Fen will approve I'm sure (despite no P-38) Quote
Sweper Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 If you can't get enough, here is another one from the same place with cocpit views. Track-Ir set up a bit wobbly in the F4U though Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted March 23, 2016 2. Administrators Posted March 23, 2016 You know you have a flightsim problem when you look at the real thing and think, "yeah, I'd definitely tweak the deadzone on that" Quote
