1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted July 16, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted July 16, 2010 Here's my first contribution: Three Kestrels at Duxford, a 2'20 Video of what was a highlight of the show to me! @gec: Thanks m8, it was a bit of a trip, but driving a French car (Citroen Xantia) over the 'Peage' motorways in France @130km/hr, on the Cruise Control is much like flying, the miles and miles kinda fly past... but getting into Belgium (had a big dip just before Antwerp, a cup of black coffee fixed that) at rush hour is no good, and in Holland trying to avoid a traffic jam, taking a bypass route that many others took does not help in making good progress at all! In the end, the rule of '2 hours drive, 15 minutes break' is a very good one!

1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted July 16, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted July 16, 2010 Changed the upload, (link is still the same, see above) now the 'Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V1' was used. Please try to download it again ...
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted July 16, 2010 2. Administrators Share Posted July 16, 2010 that works for me. I think i should of paid more attention to how i worded my last post though, to 'where can i download the codec needed' rather than getting you to redo the vid, but thanks for that, and the vids real nice Just watched your spitfire vid  nice skills

1. DDz Quorum Painless Posted July 17, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted July 17, 2010 Well what a fantasticulatious 10 days that was !! Started on Wednesday at my M8 Pete's house near Windsor where I got drunk and laughed alot. Stayed overnight then off to Heathrow to pick up JP on Thursday. Pete drove us both to "Shepherds Bush" (got to love the name LOL ) tube station. Short trip to Days hotel then to the IWM to meet up with BG, Pook,(+ wives) Jabo, Jedi and Colin. Got drunk and laughed alot in the evening at the pub. Off to Duxford on Friday meet up with more most excellent DDz go for a tour of "Romania" (restoration hangers) at Duxford thanks to JP and his incredible schmooze machine. Did I mention that I sat in a Spitfire LMAO. It was a RCAF(Kelly) Mk IX with the cerial number "PL344" Pain Less 3 44(Klingers number) Spooky ! Registration number "TL-B" which FT said stood for Tender Lovi'n Brainless LOL THANK YOU JP !!! Friday night got drunk and laughed alot at the Red Lion. Saturday was the airshow itself and yet more excellent DDz showed up. What a show and what great company. I only wish we had had more time so that I could have had a decent chat with each and every DDD (Duxford Danger Dog) Saturday night Rog visits again, this time with his lovely family. Only one thing to do....Get drunk and laugh alot ! Sid, Fruitbat and myself managed to "moon" JP from the flat roof outside our window at about 1am Sunday morning say good-bye to BG, Helen, Pooka, Joanne, Crash, Fruitbat, Jabo, Jedi, Friar (To be honest I was a little sad to to leave such a great bunch of people). Drive back to Portsmouth (via Windsor to collect my car) in convoy with FT and Sid's cars. Stayed at my place got drunk and laughed alot. Monday Jabo arrives and we collect my M8 Tim. Drive to the continental ferry port via the isle of wight ferry port OOOPS ! (because my brain is old and tired ) Had a fantastic time for four days doing the DDz Normandy tour, got drunk and laughed alot ! So many funny things happened I cannot list them so I will let JP/Sid/FT/Jabo do that. Thursday FT drives to Holland and we come back to Blighty in the evening. Nick drives home late that night , Tim goes home and now there are only 3. Friday morning Tim comes round to my house to give Sid a send off by playing his violin on the driveway ! LOL Now there are only 2. I drive JP to the airport and say a fond farewell...now there is only 1.
