1. DDz Quorum Sid Posted February 3, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Posted February 3, 2010 By no means ugly in any sense of the word, but 2 pictures show 2 sides of the Hunter First, mean and functional Second, sleek and very pretty Quote
SkyPup Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Some kewl stuff in there, but a DC-3 with turbine engines? Quote
GreyKnight Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 COME ON! How could anyone say the 109 is ugly?!? Sure, it ain't no Spitfire, but still! There's WAY more ugly aircraft. Ahh the Hawker Hunter, my very first Airfix model when I was about 6 years old. Classic, sleek shape. But... you've all missed out on THE best looking (and 100% real) aircraft ever! MIG-31 Firefox Quote
gec Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 mi favorites: SU-37 Mig-35 and last but not list F-15/16 USAF F-15/16 Quote

T_O_A_D Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Yep, I like her too kimo, I keep FSX installed just for her and variants. Been messing around with e MAAM collection for 2004 and almost have them working correctly. I have a few things not showing up in game, like the engines, are see through. And a skin of Ozark Airlines, is fighting me to show. Quote

EDIT - Ask and ye shall receive. Mostly by clicking here. Thanks alot, great info, i'll be keeping tabs on this You're welcome. If you're interested in aircraft restoration in general, the Historic Aviation forum over at Key Publishing's website occasionally turns up interesting info - Guess where the Hornet website info came from? Warning though - it gets incredibly anoraky from time to time, and I get the impression that they're not keen on people joining their little clique. Of the total posts I've made over there (three), two were ignored and the other got a smartass answer. I quit at that point, but I still lurk from time to time. Jabo Quote
BadAim Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 my fav, de Havilland Hornet, There is no doubt that Dehavilland knew how to build a purty aeroplane, the Mosquito is probably my fave as far as looks go. Hell, even when they set out to build the aerial equiralent of a half ton pickup truck they came up with this: Quote
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted February 5, 2010 2. Administrators Posted February 5, 2010 The Hornet had conter rotating props as well, like the p38 plus laminer flow wings, its like a super 1 man mosquito, must of been loverly to fly Quote
Blairgowrie Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Hornet is one of my all time favourites. Too bad they didn't save a few for us to enjoy. Another one of my faourites is the Folland Gnat. I don't want to post any links as Photobucket has apparently been hit by some trojans. Quote
