Tonar Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I am excited as I have finally broke ground on my 5.5 acres for the cabin. I now have a culvert, gravel drive and a flat spot. Quote
Crash Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Nice It sort of reminds me of the posts BG used to put up showing his house. Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted October 29, 2015 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 29, 2015 Good show! Although the flat spot looks like it is slanted a bit? Just so you know, lol, wouldn't want to see you ending up with slanted cabin Quote
Tonar Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 The spot was not finished in the photo. Although there is a small slope for runoff. I often think about BG when I am on my land. I was always envious of his ponds. Quote
1. DDz Quorum Painless Posted October 29, 2015 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 29, 2015 You lucky bugger Tonar . Looks like a great place to grow old : ) Quote
DD_Arthur Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Wow. Is there a water course of some sort running through your acres? Perhaps a chance of Oncohynchus mykiss? Quote
Tonar Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Arthur - That is the culvert under my driveway next to the main road. I can't afford water. Quote
Snacko Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Very cool Tonar! I have 5 acres as well. You'll love it! Congrats!!! Quote

1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted October 30, 2015 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 30, 2015 Surely a Dutch 'invention'. ... But, Tonar's got trees, he don't need no tripod for starters! Quote
Sweper Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Now you need just a modest log home! I mean, trees are all around, just start logging Quote
gec Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Ahh Swep. don't you see!?! only problem on your picture is water! Quote
DD_Arthur Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Lol . Looks great from here Tonar! How long a drive from your home is this? Talking of Dutch inventions; how much cannabis can you grow on five acres? Quote
JensenPark Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 meh...Colorado guy. He's growing pot no doubt. Quote
Tonar Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Holly Crap !! Who is this JensenPark character Good to see you around again and alive. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted October 30, 2015 2. Administrators Posted October 30, 2015 You broke the ground? - clumsy Tonar Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted October 31, 2015 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 31, 2015 You broke the ground? - clumsy Tonar He woke the JP!!! Thát's the scary bit! Quote
Tonar Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 He's growing pot no doubt. Not enough water up there. But I have been thinking of textile hemp production( investing). Untapped market in the US. Besides Canada can't have the monopoly on Hemp production. Surely a Dutch 'invention'. ... But, Tonar's got trees, he don't need no tripod for starters! My water table up there is 200-400 feet and in the Rocky Mountains. I might finish in time for my 6 year old son to use it when he inherits the cabin. Quote
