Crash
I am sure it was discussed and decided that once a month wasnt enough.
1. DDz Quorum DD_Fenrir Posted November 1, 2014 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted November 1, 2014 Hi crash, it was indeed discussed, however, no hard and fast approval was given and I believe it might be more appropriate to see how the attendance and demand statistics work out before committing to a 2nd dedicated CloD eve. OverDhill
So what are your feelings about Windows 7 Aero? Turn if off when flying COD? Sometime I get a message that it doesn't like it.

Sometime I get a message that it doesn't like it. Yes. (Well, I am running 7 in theme 'Windows Classic' .... lol)
Perfesser
In general any extra crap running is detrimental to your machine's ability to run demanding software. CloD seems to have the desktop running in the background unlike IL2 46 Aero visual hallmarks include subtle animations and translucent glass windows, which you can personalize. Sounds like it's hurting your computing power as well as your video card. Right click on the desktop, select personalize, and choose a basic theme. You won't even notice the difference. 2. Administrators Jabo Posted November 10, 2014 2. Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2014 I use windows 7 aero, no problems. My set up seems to drop to win 7 classic when clod starts up and then goes back to aero when I close the game. Why it does this I have no idea! OverDhill
Well here is what some say to do Locate launcher.exe in the main Cliffs of Dover directory under steamapps/common. Right click, compatability tab, check disable desktop composition. Other say they experience tearing when panning with Aero off. We shall see
OverDhill
I read somewhere that turning down your resolution to help spot planes easier. So what are you guys running at?
gec
I know people running the game at mobile phone resolution (800x600) but, for me, that's just step away from cheating. i'm running it @ 1920x1080

DD_Arthur
I read somewhere that turning down your resolution to help spot planes easier. So what are you guys running at? You don't need to do that anymore Hill. Team Fusion sorted this out a while back. Just set your screen for native res and enjoy the eye candy. OverDhill
I was using a SweetFX I got a year or so ago but came across this one which seems to have been tweaked to help spot planes a bit better. Testing it with a mission someone posted that puts planes out at various distances shows it does help a little. It looks good on my 39". Easy to try and easy to get rid of so worth a shot. Not for Windows 8 from what I have read. http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13303&highlight=markie
OverDhill
I saw a blurb on switching the german voices with english ones. My de folder has Actor 1-4 but the gb one only has Actor 1-2. The instructions given would eliminate 3-4 and would that cause a problem? I don't think I will be learning German anytime soon.. lol
