Flyboy583 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Cool Jabo, Ill give you an update shortly.. Ill start with the hotels at the bottom of the list, from about 10 mile away and see how we get on... Quote
gec Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 i know this was brought up before but how about this: http://www.highfieldfarmtouringpark.co.uk/index.html or this http://www.appleacrepark.co.uk/how_to_find_us.htm this hotel prices really are rediculous Quote
gec Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 or if we can organize couple of hotels with room or two that are close enough. like this: http://www.booking.c...r=price_for_two http://www.booking.c...089d57b37a39X17 http://www.booking.c...6089d57b37a39X8 http://www.booking.c...6089d57b37a39X4 http://www.booking.c...6089d57b37a39X6 http://www.booking.c...089d57b37a39X15 all this hotels are on the same street. Helen Hotel has 20 rooms. do not know how many are free. maybe one of them have enough rooms to accommodate all of us. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted November 11, 2011 Author 2. Administrators Posted November 11, 2011 I've pm'd JP. Don't know how things are fixed yet. Quote
Snacko Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Are the accomidations so hard to get that you have to start this early really?? Just wondering... And if JP or any other American is actually considering this, I would like to know. As I 'might'.. I had to travel... and i hate the summer heat... but who knows... Quote
JensenPark Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I plan on being there. did we want to try the Holiday Inn route again? Quote
gec Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 all hotels in 10mil radius from the airfield that i could find are all ready booked. and the circle is growing. the ones i've posted are in Cambridge, about 10ml from the airfield. And the prices are, comparing to the ones mentioned before, very low. Quote
gec Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 two friends of mine and i are (have i said that right ? ) planing to come next year. i'd like to take the same hotel as u r but room price is a big factor to me. in the The Earl Of Derby Hotel in Cambridge, twin room with full English Breakfast is 170 Pounds for both days. That's 85 Pounds p/p for both days and cca half of the price for the hotels mentioned few weeks before. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted November 12, 2011 Author 2. Administrators Posted November 12, 2011 I plan on being there. did we want to try the Holiday Inn route again? If possible JP, it was a pretty good location last year. I doubt we could get into the one at Duxford now (which I would prefer - less travelling - but, meh). I hate to ask, but is there anything you can do? It would really help if we can get everyone in the same place (even though we 'lost' FT in the hotel... ) The Red Lion/Holiday Inn is out for regular bookings as they're taking the p**s again. £340 quid for two nights?? I'd rather sleep in the car. Jabo Quote
