Blairgowrie Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Had a short pm from Foto this am. He is off work for a few weeks and has a caste but he says nothing serious. Afraid he was a bit short on detail but I am sure he will lots of time to fly with us now and we can ask then. Quote
delta7 Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 get well soon mate. I had bikes for years, until I broke my left knee - gave them up after that. Quote
Tonar Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Yup, glad to hear he is fine. Motorcycles are fun, but you can't win against gravity or 1 ton of metal. when I was in phoenix, the life expectency of a motorcycle operator was 2 weeks. my friend made it 1 week and 1 month in the hospital. if he lasted 2 weeks he might be dead. 1. DDz Quorum Pooka Posted August 7, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Posted August 7, 2007 Broken collar bone and 4" hole in left leg, was wearing a helmet...we all go through that stage of life. Fotos due for Joint-Ops soon, this should work out well for him.. Quote
BBloke Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Hope he gets well soon. A guy in my local had an accident. Quote
Highlander Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Get well Foto, and get rid of that thing. It is the rule of gross tonage, if they are that mush bigger than you ,your going to lose every time. I have lost 1 brother and had my other brother in critical condition from motorcycle accidents, so I am very anti bikes. I truly hope you are OK Foto and pray for your speedy recovery. Quote
1. DDz Quorum Painless Posted August 8, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Posted August 8, 2007 ~S~ Foto M8, get well soon, and yup. I have to agree with the others on this...... had many years on bikes on and off track, count myself bloody lucky to still have two arms, two legs, and two nutz !! LOL DON'T JUST SIT THERE, GET ONE UP !!! Quote
Enforcer57 Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I love riding my scooter, which i do everyday as my general transportation, and i intend on getting a much bigger one someday.....90 mpg kinda influences me on that to. Gotta drive like you expect these people to kill you. At any rate, I'm glad our attrition rate wasn't added to. Quote
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted August 9, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Posted August 9, 2007 I'm with you Carl. Did 1000's of miles in a year, Ice and freezing fog included. Philosophy was: 'Only an idiot is going to harm me, I'd be an idiot to harm myself or let any one else hurt me'. Quote
Blairgowrie Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Just had another email from Foto. He has a broken ankle and will be in a caste for 6 weeks. He also has had computer problems but hopes to join us soon. Quote
Glen Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Hi all, the details: Had just come out of a junction and a driver (you can guess the sex if you like) who was parked in a lay-by and facing in the same direction as I was travelling, decided to perform a U-turn just as I was arriving. I had one of two choices; either run into her or try to avoid her (Ooops! did I say it was a woman?). Quote
Rattler Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Glad to hear that it wasn't too serious, Foto. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted August 10, 2007 2. Administrators Posted August 10, 2007 ~S~ Foto Sorry to have arrived late here, but just wanted to add my best wishes for your speedy recovery as well... Jabo Quote
Enforcer57 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Yeah, I've been nearly whacked more times than i can count on my scooter by.....................dingbats. Was she hot? If she was, she can make up for it. If not, she should bring whatever friend, daughter, sister, etc that is hot to be offered to placate you. Quote
Tonar Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Not to give anyone the willies, but this shows who will win the battle. even if you are in the right of way. notice the red light http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v445/ ... nt=003.flv Quote
BBloke Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 unbelievable.. didnt look like the rider was wearing a crash hat Quote
Blairgowrie Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 Almost looks like a dummy on the motor cycle, the way his limbs fly. Quote
BBloke Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I thought that until I saw his flailing arms. Quote
Glen Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Not to give anyone the willies, but this shows who will win the battle. even if you are in the right of way. notice the red light http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v445/ ... nt=003.flv Thanks for that, you've just made my mind up. The bike is going, as is all my gear so I never buy another. Foto Quote
Crash Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I haven't trusted myself on a motorcycle for a long time. I realized that I could not get away with being a loony for much longer Quote
