Oh, excellent! Kev you're gonna love it mate. I was young when I had a chance to fly in one of these beauties, but I remember loving every second of it. Nothing quite like an open cockpit! Argh, it's been so long since I was last airborne (737s notwithstanding!).
  3. Nice heads-up mate. Missed this first time, so will be iPlayer for me. I've heard good things about it.
  4. Replaced the batteries after a low bat warning message about 3 days ago. Funny thing is last night, I got another warning... weird. Video drivers up to date, i think. never can be too sure with ATI! Hmmm, not tried reconnecting the mouse, it's been 'bound' since day one and not had to reset it before. Will try it though. Strangely TOAD, after playing IL2 with you Swep and a few of the others last night, I relaunched Firefox and the lag had disappeared. I have that sometimes, it comes and goes. Argh!
  5. ~S!~ Fellow aeroplane admiring chums! A few of us Dogz are interested in going to the Autumn show at Duxford on 16th October, which this year commemorates the Korean war. For those of you that haven't been before, it's the last chance to get a warbird fix before they're all tucked up for the winter and the Autumnal light adds a different dimension for those photographers amongst us. Of course the weather can be cold/wet etc but we'd have to judge that the day before like any other show of the year. Fenrir and I have attended some cracking Autumn shows in the past and the line-up this year looks rather tasty too (see below). I believe this will be Mitch Beulen's last display as award winning F-16 demo pilot, one of the best solo fighter displays i've seen. Also, hmmm Sea Furies, Meteor and Sabre! 6. Hi guys, wonder if you can help me out here? For the past week or so, i've been noticing that my mouse and sometimes keyboard have become very laggy when running certain programs, notably in Firefox and Steam. The mouse pointer looks and feels like it's in mollases whilst the page is loading, or a youtube video is playing for example. It's really starting to get on ones tits and I think it's also affecting IL2, because i'm getting stuttering more often than not now. My mouse and keyboard are MS wireless. And I'm running Windows 7 (fully updated), on 3Gb RAM. MSE scans show no evidence of malware. Any ideas mates?

Nice pair... ... of tail fins!
  8. Just glad to hear you're all OK mates! Terrible shame for the families who have lost loved ones as you say, but bloody hell it could have been so much worse. Look forward to flying with you soon chum.
  9. Brilliant! Must say I didn't adhere to the warning and now my lunch is spread over my Mac screen lol!:sheepsmile:
  10. Downloaded it yesterday, gonna try it out tonight! Thanks for the heads up mate!
  11. This discussion is all rather interesting for me, also looking at building a fresh gaming rig on a similar budget. Kudos to you Dogz for being helpful as always!

  16. Remembering 'the few' and all the men and women on the ground that kept them in the air during this day 71 years ago, and throughout the battle. We salute you. On this day
  17. Fen will know this better, but I believe it's to do with the supercharger. The later griffons had two stage where as the early ones had single stage, thus making the length of the engine block shorter.
  18. Mk 12 old boy! First production griffon Spitfire, oh yeah! Short block griffon like the Seafire 17.
  19. This was posted on the Keypublishing Forum from the leading Spitfire historian Peter Arnold today: I am very excited at the prospect of seeing this early griffon Spitfire up where she belongs! And I can think of at least one other Dog who will be salivating uncontrollably with this news... Also, for those who are unaware who Air Leasing are: http://www.airleasing.co.uk/ Richard Grace wanting a new toy to follow in his late father's footsteps? Excellent. :thumbsu:
  20. So for the first time in what seems like ages, i've reserved this evening for some action in the air. Whoop! SID old bean, perhaps we could have that DF after all?
