Blairgowrie Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 One of the great features of our property is the large gravel deposits. A couple of years ago, I opened up a very nice gravel pit. There was a big boulder right in the middle of it and I knew the backhoe wouldn't be able to handle it. But I thought the excavator might stand a better chance so I headed back to the gravel pit and started digging. Once I exposed the rock, I knew that I could never lift it out of the hole. Quote
Jediteo Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 BG's game of marbles gone wrong? That's not a boulder, that is about the size of pluto. Quote
JensenPark Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 just when you think BG's run out of "guess what I did on my estate today" stories... Quote
Perfesser Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 When you have toys that big there's always interesting leisure time. We landscape, BG relocates mountains. Was it spoiling your view or something? Quote

Streak Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I think Sweper is on the right track. The easiest thing would be drill, blast, remove much smaller pieces. Quote

JensenPark Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 ~S~ BG Does your doctor know that this is your idea of taking it easy and resting??? BG's idea of 'resting' is having only 4 servants working...not five. Quote
