Nice vid...cheers!

Different seeing the contra props on what is essentially a Spit and the noise is completely different. This was the end of the line though wasn't it and would be radically different from 'traditional' views.

Once the cameraman managed to keep on target midway, I started to get goose bumps.

What a sound, it could only be topped if it was firing weapons, on the high speed pass. ;-)

The props were fun to watch.

It's quite something isn't it?

I'd love to see/hear it in formation with some of the other ultimate Navy prop warbirds...

Imagine: Seafire 47, Bearcat, Tigercat, Sea Fury... All together. What a sight and sound that would be!

...And to satisfy TOAD they could all fire the crap outta replica period ground targets! :thumbsu:

Whoooosh,grrooooooowwwwwww, daggadagga... BOOOM!

Don't forget there's a PR Spit with a contra-rotating Griffon (I think) based in France at present. Turned up at Legends for the last few years. I wonder if it was a sort of test-bed for this mark of Seafire - it's about the right era.

Nice vid BB.

Counter rotating props is impossible. The shaft would just twist and snap.

It's a good job you told us this Kimo. Make sure to write and tell Rolls Royce not to bother....

Noone bites. I'm such a bad troll.

:notfair:

Anyhoo, here's what CJs spit used to look like.
