  1. You are a good man Jim, and the heart and soul of this wonderful group of people.
  2. I'm still having no luck downloading RC3. I've tried it both at work and at my apartment, using both Internet Explorer and Fire Fox. With Internet Explorer, when I go to the initial Game Front page, I get a message that the page is 'Done, but with errors on page'. Then I navigate to the page that says "If your down load does not begin, click here". After that, it doesn't matter if I left click or right click and select 'save target as', I get the following message: "Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found." With Fire Fox , it is the same story. I can left click or right click and still get a "File not found" message. I'm not sure what is going on. I downloaded RC2 without any problem. But then I did downloaded RC2 from Mediafire, not Game Front.
  3. I can’t download the RC3 patch. The Game Front web page that the link takes me to, doesn’t load correctly and I get an ‘error on page’ message. Is anyone else having this problem?

    Whiskey

WHISKEY In 1952, Armon M. Sweat, Jr., a member of the Texas House of Representatives, was asked about his position on whiskey. What follows is his exact answer (taken from the Political Archives of Texas): "If you mean whiskey, the devil's brew, the poison scourge, the bloody monster that defiles innocence, dethrones reason, destroys the home, creates misery and poverty, yea, literally takes the bread from the mouths of little children; if you mean that evil drink that topples Christian men and women from the pinnacles of righteous and gracious living into the bottomless pit of degradation, shame, despair, helplessness, and hopelessness, then, my friend, I am opposed to it with every fiber of my being. However, if by whiskey you mean the oil of conversation, the philosophic wine, the elixir of life, the ale that is consumed when good fellows get together, that puts a song in their hearts and the warm glow of contentment in their eyes; if you mean Christmas cheer, the stimulating sip that puts a little spring in the step of an elderly gentleman on a frosty morning; if you mean that drink that enables man to magnify his joy, and to forget life's great tragedies and heartbreaks and sorrow; if you mean that drink the sale of which pours into Texas treasuries untold millions of dollars each year, that provides tender care for our little crippled children, our blind, our deaf, our dumb, our pitifully aged and infirm, to build the finest highways, hospitals, universities, and community colleges in this nation, then my friend, I am absolutely, unequivocally in favor of it. This is my position, and as always, I refuse to compromise on matters of principle."
  5. In my experience with dropping German time delay bombs from Stukas, (using a high angle dive as Allah intended), the time delay that you set is very important to a successful attack. The time delay you set becomes in effect a time fuse. If you have the time delay set for 2 seconds, the bomb will explode two seconds after it is release. If you release it high it will explode high and as Jedi described deposit sub-munitions over a very wide area. The opposite is true if you set the time delay for too long of a time. The bomb will explode too close to the ground and you will not get a good spread of the sub-munitions. Now I will say that all of my experience with the delay action bombs was before they added the new 2 second arming time. So adjustments might have to be made. So Jedi is correct when he says that “The only way of getting it right is to practice” And for the record, I vote for vote for Bond villain.

    Old Games

EXACTLY Like jet aircraft, these new fangled computer games are just a passing Fad. Soon we’ll be back to a world filled with real airplanes with propellers, and the wonderful throaty ROAR of real aircraft engines. Plus, we will once again enjoy healthy outdoor recreational activities in the sunshine and fresh air. Archery and Rifle shooting come immediately to mind. Four hours of practice each Sunday after Church Parade, will do wonders for the country. It’s good to see you here again Mate. I hope that all is well with you and your family.

    Old Games

When I saw this, I thought we would be talking about games like Marbles and Mumbley-Peg. Games that were played outside in the sun and fresh air, using marbles and knives. I’m showing my age.
  8. It is way too early in the morning for something like that.
  9. I’m so sorry to hear this, Ovy. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

    Pull Over

Friar, our Spiritual Leader, decided to take a road trip this past weekend. Being the generous individual that he is, he took one of the Sisters with him. Unfortunately, they inadvertently ran afoul of the local authorities.
  11. ~S~ Friar Mate, you have interpreted this situation incorrectly. Painless is trying to rescue the sheep. The sheep became distraught as a result of the Pound weakening against the Euro and the Dollar. We should all praise Painless for his selfless efforts. I’m also sure that after the rescue, the sheep showed it’s appreciation in a very special way.
  12. You’ve got water as well, which could become more valuable than oil. And why shouldn’t the Canadian government have F-35s. After all, you have at least two F-35s your self. Canada should at least be able to achieve Air Parity on the border between Canada and the Grand Duchy of Blairgowrie.

    Up3.0 Hotfix

RC2? What in heaven's name is an RC2? I haven't got UP 3.0 installed yet, as the two disc set that BG is sending me have not arrived yet. And I obviously do not have the new patch. I was already a little confused reading the threads about this secondary launch protocol where you have to pre-set the memory. Now I'm confronted with this RC2 business. I am glad to hear that the Hakenkreuze is standard. I hope to try out this marvel soon.
  14. Well done. You lot have always been leaders in technology.
  15. Well done Sweper. Especially after being drunk for three and a half weeks. I’m impressed.
  16. This pooch demonstrates perfectly the unconquerable spirit of the DangerDogz.
  17. Thanks Jim, Hopefully it will get here by the middle of June. They were flying all of our mail on a commercial flight direct from New York to Cairo. But with all of the unrest that we’ve been having here lately, the commercial carrier is no longer willing to fly into Cairo. So now all of our mail is going into Frankfurt. There the Army gets it and lets it accumulate until they have a decent load and then they put it on a C-17 bound for Cairo. It’s all part of the joy of living in Post Revolutionary Egypt. Thanks again for the help Jim.
  18. We might not be that far along, but you are defiantly making progress. So Congratulations, it sounds like the good guys well and truly won. And I also think that it is noteworthy to see that the official opposition is now clearly defined as the socialist party.
  19. If, by chance, it is not included in UP 3.0, would it be possible to post installation instructions for the computer illiterate like me.
  20. My thoughts exactly. Jim must have enough machinery to equip an Army Engineer Battalion.
  21. Old Git??? He’s only 46. Happy Birthday youngster.
