  1. Morning Gents After having spoken to Jabo and Tbone it was decided to start two subforums, one for skins and skinning resources, the other for Mods. This has been done for housekeeping and a bit of clarity really. If you started a thread that you have in another post and you think it would be better in one of the new subforums please PM Jabo and he will move it across. Your thread can still be seen in it's original place but there is a link that will take you to the new position. Ta very much.

  2. Up until recently I have used two separate mods for icons: 1. ICON_D_D_NL_SM_T As a default, this mod gives me a small red triangle/square over air/ground objects, removes arrows pointing to other aircraft and removes range and name information. 2. Icon_Map_Other_Planes_Off_3010C_2-15 As a default, this mod clears all aircraft icons off the pilot/driver's large map and minimap leaving pilot aircraft icon only. I have now combined these two mods into one mod and have named it 'Dogz Icon Mod v1.00' (bit presumptious of me, sorry) and it is the one I use but it is optional as I know others have their favourites. I have also converted the above mod for use in tank battles only and called it 'Dogz Icon Mod - Tank battles v2.00' . It is meant for tank battles such as Friar's recent scenario and has what the previous mod has EXCEPT there are NO ground icons and NO tank icons on the maps. They are available from the Vault here Please note that there are 2 separate mods in the zip file and only one should be activated at any one time. Please note that they should be considered a work in progress. A Git production based on the icon mods made by 'Ptk'.

  5. A. To install JSGME if you currently do not have it. If you do have it, then move to B. 1. Download JSGME (Jones Generic Mod Enabler) from: https://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/Generic-Mod-Enabler.shtml#download 2. Unzip JSGME to a temporary folder, and run jsgme_setup.exe, install it to your BOS game folder 3. Run JSGME.exe that was placed in that folder. It will start and a screen will display, it will show you the standard folder it will create where your MODS need to be placed. 4. Now close JSGME. This sets up the proper location for the JSGME MODs folder for your BOS install. B. To install the MODs with JSGME: 1. Download desired MOD zip file or files, in this case: Add SID's [Dogz Icon Mod] 2. Unzip your selected mod to the MOD folder that JSGME set up in the BOS main directory, in this case folder name should be "MODS\Dogz Icon Mod - Tank Battles v2.00" and "MODS\Dogz Icon Mod v1.00" 3. Start JSGME 4. On the left side of the JSGME screen will be the list of MODs you have available, and which are inactive/disabled. To the right the ones that are active/enabled. 5. For Tank battles: Disable the [Dogz Icon Mod v1.00] and Enable [MODS\Dogz Icon Mod - Tank Battles v2.00]

  6. 402nd: I am truly impressed with what we did this mission, and how we did it. We hit our main target hard, and dealt with targets of opportunity as well. And all of that in a coordinated and efficient manner. Great teamwork ... And all of us landed back at home base. Y'all made this Capt. rather proud! Thanks Guys!!

  9. An A20 skin based on the F7F Tigercat 'La Patrona' that graces the skies over Reno in the Unlimited Class Air Racing Competition.....the 'Lucky 4' of us saw it when we went although she unfortunately suffered an oil leak and had to withdraw. I think it suits the A20 beautifully.

  10. Yes there was indeed AAAA, “Ample Anti Aircraft Artillery “. Bad luck this time 485th, absolutely no sign of enemy aircraft from beginning to end. Even though we were supposed to be selective when it came to ground attack, ie not attacking massed AAA for the sake of it or alone, we still sustained damaged and lost airframes either through direct AAA hits or aggressive scenery. 2nd Lt John Mayer was injured and now has the full attention of several nursing personnel which I’m told he insists is “no more than a necessary evil” 2nd Lt Funflaque was also injured but we expect him back on Sqn as soon as stocks of formadehyde are replenished. Unfortunately I believe we lost 2nd Lt Dave Scott, waiting for absolute conformation from HQ..... Good job 2nd Lt Kieth Mow who nursed his damaged and leaking airframe back to home base without incident ! Capt Frank Priory also deserves a mention for not only surviving such an “eventful” mission, but for contributing to a number of artillery ground kills for 485th.
