Lockon Flaming Cliffs 2.0 Was Released Today!

It took me a couple of hours to figure out the control set up in the game to get all the CH controls working. Now I'm programming the the Fighterstick & Throttle and should be able to have 3 seperate modes (t/o, land, nav mode...A to A mode...A to Ground mode). Since I'm new to CH this is also a learning process to get everything working.

i'm getting lock on soon, flatspinman is sending me his copy of it, which is jolly decent of him, will i be able to buy this add on for that, or do i need something different?

FC 2.0 I believe you just need to have at least the original Lockon installed on your pc. This is also stated in the press release: "The Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2 upgrade for owners of Lock On and Lock On: Flaming Cliffs is available for sale as a download from the Eagle Dynamics Lock On web site for $29.99 USD.". So, you need to by the original Lockon game at least. You can get them at the bottom of this page.

Have you installed the BS Patch 1.1? Checked your firewall?

If you get it running ok, I can help you get started if you want. Hovering, Locking on, Firing weapons is a little frustrating without help.

I was looking for the patch when I read your response which made finding it much easier. The game now seems to be working but I can't figure out how to assign the rudder control to my pedals ext.

Darn, I just loaded up a browser and saw you on TS, but when I joined you were gone.

In the Options you select Axis controllers so you can assign them. There should be a column at the top for each of your controllers. And Down the left side a list of commands you can assign. You should be able to double-click in a grid cell where the two intercect for your controller and the Rudders and assign them.

PS: I have been playing with FC 2 all day and it is very nice. I was playing with a mission where several A10s takeoff from a parking area with some Blacksharks for a task. It was a ramp start for both with assigned tasks. That would be fun to fly the BS with some Dogz in A10s flying SEAD for us...

Streak, I use the ch rudder and I had to check the cm programmer/loader to see which control the rudders were assigne and which axis. I then went into the game "axis assignment" under control and made the rudder match. Since CH uses each separate control on its' own usb, the game sees each separte controller but assigned all the axis the each controller and the rudder had the wrong assignment. So I made each controller use its' own axis and corrected the rudder and everything works just fine now (only took me 4 hours to figure that out). And I also had to go to each a/c and correct each one.

Then see if we can all play together and I get my helicopter escorted by 4 fighters

OR... even better, a couple of Black-Sharks and a flight of A-10s, moving some mud!!!

I flew online with AP Hill and CaptJack last thursday night (USA Time) in a practice mission that I made. It is in the vault if you are interested.

Flew last night again with AP Hill and CaptJack. Flew the Practice mission for about an hour, then a new night mission that I made dropping candle flares to light up the area and then we hit a Oil refinery and some tanks. Then tried a stock mission that had no labels, which made it much harder of course. And we died as a result, but had a lot of fun trying to search out those SAM sites.

Can_Goose and Squawk showed up, but still needed to install the game, so we will be flying with them as well Today (Sat) at 2pm EST if anyone would like to join us.

Both are fine for me. I'll be flying prop planes on DDz nights though, wouldn't want to prioritize on that. I'll see about installing and tweaking LOMAC/FC2 tomorrow. Got some work to do on that part. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Always been interested in F-15's, F-14's and Sukhois.

I can show up this friday but I'm not sure if I can contribute much. Just finished a nav flight in the F-15 from one airfield to another lol. Lots of systems to learn.

Most of us are hacks at this point, so no worries. I cannot help with the F15, but CaptJack has been playing with it. There is a refueling tanker in one of my missions you can try and refuel if you want. It's very challenging.

I own Lock On V1.02 at the moment and am thinking of getting either FC2 or A10C. If I got FC2 would I be able to join any A10c games with the Dogz or would I have to go the whole HOG and get A10C (and spend months trying to remember what order to press the buttons and what buttons to press)

Get A10C, they are coming out with flaming cliffs 3 pretty soon. Getting the A10 started and ready is not all that difficult.
