With the release date tomorrow I would like to introduce the DAA.

My first job (sorry, did I not mention that as it was my idea I am placing myself at the head of this quango?) is to issue call signs.

I saw from the videos that Arthur linked it is possible to set your own call sign, I would therefore like to list the following (for all pilots whom I am aware have shown an interest in buying or who have ordered.)

Friar:               G-DDFR

Sid(the git):    G-DDSG

Jabo:               G-DDJB

Arthur:             G-DDAR

BlueBear:         G-DDBB

Fruitbat            G-DDFB

I think Pooka mentioned he may have a look:    N-DDPK

If there is anyone else I have missed, please let me know.

If I have a callsign, then I must purchase ?

Just a small anorakish observation, the convention for US 'N' registrations is to have an N with no hyphen followed by a number and then letters, the DD's squadron number could be a suitable inclusion in this case.

So Pooka could be N9DDP

@Bongo - Anoraks must be checked at the door. (anyone would think you actually do this sort of stuff for real !)

@Pooka  - no Sir don't be forced into it. This will most likely be a fringe Dogz activity and probably outside of your flying "window"

Unless there is a large US uptake of Dogz of course.

I will check in the anorak if you hand in that joke book.

I am afraid the DAA does not permit such codes. You should fly with Git-Delta Delta Sierra Git

Not sure if I should use the USA code N, and how many letters allowed.

Something close to DDPKA   or N-POOKA  or  N-DDPK or N-DDPKA

What is the coding allowed ?

I have gone for a nationality code (N) for North America and then 4 characters so went for DD (obvs) and then two for your call sign.

It may not be actually correct (thank you Bongo) but I thought it worked. N-DDPK

At the end of the day although I set myself up as the DAA, nothing stopping you doing what you want.

Colin, seeing as you are the (self) appointed head of this...this...well, whatever this is, could I also request Git-Juliet-Alpha-Bravo-Oscar?

I spent yesterday working on setting up joystick and such.  Of course nothing I have is recognized,  not Thrustmaster.

N-DDPK would be fine, thanks for doing this, now back to my joystick.
