  1. Typical, BG gets a gfx corruption and the only legible name on the screen is... ~S~ Painless

Surprisingly enough Tribunus, I was aware that Churchill was fond of JW, although I wasn't sure about Jim, but you are missing one salient point... I don't like Scotch
  3. According to the blurb m8, it's Jeff Wayne conducting The Black Smoke Band and The ULLAdubULLA Strings. Apparently.
  4. Very, very good m8, nice find. ~S~ Jabo
  5. I guess it's not all that surprising that IL2 is not able to utilise the extra hp available when running a crossfire setup - after all, the gfx engine pre-dates any sort of clever stuff like SLI (anybody remember the old Voodoo II? - you could run two of those coupled together ISTR). Having said that, would it not be worth hanging on to the kit you've already paid for in readiness for future games that would utilise it? ~S~ Jabo

Yep, I find Jack Daniels and AC/DC at unfeasibly loud volume levels seem to help with the blotting out too. My neighbours must love me.... :headbang::headbang:
  7. One of the best intro's ever - nice one Colin
  8. ...or alternatively go for a complete re-install of the game, ISTR I had to do that last time I upgraded my gfx hardware. ~S~ Jabo
  9. Now that's impressive - anything reach ground level? ~S~ Jabo
  10. ~S~ John, have a look at www.thetrainline.com. I reckon you can go from Luton Airport to Whittlesford Parkway (the station next to the Red Lion) by going to West Hampstead by train, then tube to Liverpool St and finally train to Dux in about 2.25 hours on a Saturday morning leaving Luton at 6.14 and getting to Duxford at 8.30 in time for brekkie. Off-peak return ticket is (I think) £33.00.
  11. Jim, drop me a PM, I've got some stuff that might be useful to you. ~S~ Jabo
  12. Check my pictures from Legends 2007, the example at Duxford is one of theirs - a really nice piece of work. I like how they've managed to retain the full designation by calling the company FlugWerke so they still get the fw! ~S~ Jabo
  13. And you a (former) member of the law-enforcement community as well...tsk tsk
  14. Ah yes, that'll be the Adnams Broadside then - a proper ale. Slips down a treat... Nice to see the possibility of some new faces as well as some old ones...That's old as in familiar, not...oh never mind - I think this hole's quite deep enough. ~S~ Jabo
  15. Just thought, I'd chuck a thread up here for next year's shindig. Flying Legends 2009 - July 11th & 12th. No racing at Newmarket on that weekend, so accomodation should be easier to arrange than this year. Sadly, TFC's Mk18 Spit which was resident at Dux has been sold, but an inside source tells me that this is to make way for a 'new, exciting addition' to the TFC fleet - I wonder... That's about it for now - only 246 days to go! Just in case you were forgetting! ~S~ Jabo
  16. Oh hell yeah Hey Enforcer do you have the same job as me?
  17. ROFL Dep's got a good point though... ~S~ Jabo
  18. Really? Damn... The way I grabbed them TOAD was to have the realplayer IE plugin installed which gives you the option to download streaming media. It doesn't work on every site (BBC iPlayer for example), but seems to here...The other alternative would be to use a suitable Firefox addin (there is one, I just can't remember the name right now) Hope this helps... ~S~ Jabo
