2. Administrators Jabo Posted February 2, 2010 2. Administrators Posted February 2, 2010 I wonder how it's going to do at the Oscars? Modern Warfare 2? Didn't know it was nominated... Quote
GreyKnight Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 I'm sure Avatar will win some of the more technical awards, but as for winning best picture and director, it's not so clear. I've HEARD that Up in the Air & The Hurt Locker are great films, but I haven't had a chance to see them. And one of these two will probably pip Avatar to best film & director, I reckon. p.s. Just found this link of some brilliant guy's review of Avatar -> http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/01/31/phantom-menace-reviewer-takes-on-avatar/ If you haven't already seen this guy's 7-part review of The Phantom Menace, you HAVE TO watch this 1st! -> http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/12/17/watch-this-70-minute-video-review-of-star-wars-the-phantom-menace/ Had be laughing out loud in parts, whilst at work! JensenPark Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 James Cameron was staying at my hotel in Newfoundland back in 2001...he was there filming some thing on the Titanic...I think with National Geographic or something. Was chatting with him...it was his birthday. Quote

BadAim Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 YEAH BABY! That's firepower. I should think keeping that pace up for any length of time would wear a crew out pretty quick, even young guys. Quote
DD_asas Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Saw the movie this weekend...very good indeed, the 3D cen Quote
Snacko Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Back on topic -> That is awesome! But they needed some of those sneakers that light up when you walk to make it realistic! Let's start a L.A.R.P. for the DangerDogz. I'll be BG. Quote
T_O_A_D Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I actually went and saw this last Monday with the wife for a late Valentines day. The best dam 3D I've ever seen, decent story line too. It was refreshing seeing a Modern movie not trashing the Hunt, and the use of the kill, as long as its respectful. Sigourney Weaver looks good in blue. Quote
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted February 20, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Posted February 20, 2010 Oh how wrong I was....I saw it on wednesday (would have posted sooner but had trouble logging in..)
