Some photos of snow buildup on our roof

Winter came early this year and we have already had lots of snow. I get a bit concerned when it starts to get heavy on the roof so we have a off duty fireman come in and get most of it off. Poor bugger was up there for 4 hours in minus 12 degree F. I watched him for a couple of minutes!

BG is the only person I know of that has a personal estate large enough to have it's own fire department...and thus easy access to off-duty firemen.

Looks like that storm pounded ya.

Up to now ours has stayed up the mountains, but we got our first valley snow yesterday. And since I live on the foot of said mountains we had a few inches that stuck around. Soon I assume we will get hit hard too. Just hope it's only a foot or so at a time, I hate it when we get buried like you do.

He is standing on ice Kling and you are right, it is quite precarious. If he gets enough snow off the roof and he slips he will land in the deep snow and be ok.

Your land has to absorb a hell of a lot of water if you do get a fast melt.
