  1. Yes, someone here knows how to do it....
  2. Yes, your turn, but we should be doin' the guessing!
  3. lol... building stuff, then destroying it... I used to do that IRL 3D when I was a kid, lol... lots of stuff got built from the ground up... only to be destroyed later.. thanks Rox for making me relive that for a bit!
  4. Hm, I am not too sure a whether a 4 core would do you much good performance wise versus a 2 core, especially when the 2 core as a higher clock speed. Will depend maybe on what you use it for, like IL2 1946 only uses one core... so... probably no benefits there! Assuming the 2 core is an E8600 .... see this comparison They are of the same age and generation... the only thing the Q has over the E is that is has 4 cores... but, will you be using them? That's the big Q ... Oh, I see the Q is 'unlocked', that means you can 'easily' overclock it... lol. That might help, though it will depend on both your motherboard quality, and your memory modules quality So, if you you have some considerate amount of spare time, and think over clocking could be fun, and you are up to that, go for it, get the Q, and start OC-ing... but be prepared to have hours and hours of fun, and every now and then (well, to be honest, more now than then) hours and hours of frustration Edit: You may need to check aftermarket CPU cooling solutions, if you do decide to go that OC route... you would not want it to burn itself out, ey bubba!
  5. Looking good! (Sound was't too bad, once I ran the video through VLC player ...)
  6. Well, a lot of those tend to bring a lot of clutter and advertising stuff as well... and probably will not do the Bios update, which is the most relevant here ...
  7. There's something else going regarding 'degrees' in that picture... But it's a great photograph!
  8. Sounds like it's time for a bios update, 'ey Bubba ... What's the brand and model of your motherboard?
  9. I''m with Brando here, if you upgrade to 10 with the system in that state, you will end up with a troubled 10 installation. First fix these issues ... How? Try and check eventvwr for disk errors. Check whether you are overclocking, if so, clock it down back to normal. Check your Sata cables ... are they still nicely connected ... Run an extensive memory test? Backup, yes, good, regularly, yes, good stuff. Is. Backup. It, schnizzle and stuff...
  10. Is that a DeHaviland logo on the wheel hubs? Is it an official/historical one?
  11. It's made it onto GoogleEarth/Maps!
  12. w00t... Brilliant! Indeed them details! So fine!
  13. Run Regedit, navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] And add a new string value, (REG_SZ), named trackIR, and with the name and path of the executable as value. Should work, that's how my Roccat Kave audio panel is being started...
  14. w00t... I got one today... ignored it kinda... as I really do not want a dislike button.... Thanks for the heads up Nick!
  15. Ah, brilliant, that explains all the troubles indeed! I missed that, but, in my defense, I was sober!!
  16. The ISO should work, and will work. I created a bootable USB stick from it, and upgraded my system using that stick... Me thinks something went wrong with selecting your installation type, maybe combined with selecting your installation/upgrade partition? Or, maybe indeed it was the ISO. But, to really understand what went wrong, there's too little info. I do remember having similar issues on my initial install of W10 on a test-system ... but reading carefully... and doing the sensible thing ... (like upgrading instead of freshly installing) in the end it worked fine, and fast too! Nasty stuff, if it is this troublesome ...
  17. After initial upgrade/install of W10, let it do all its updates (I can see some 50+ already on my system!). Make sure all drivers are okay (some may need/a W10 driver available, I had to download stuff for my printers and for my Roccat Kave headset) Keep rebooting ... once everything is kinda neat and tidy, check the GameController ID's, and boot some more...
  18. Windows 10 may or may not swap ID's on installation, not after that. Well, apart from Jabo, he's suffering from swapping ID's at boot... I am convinced it's something special about his system... Have not heard from others having re-curring swaps...
  19. Oh carp, not another one of those pil2ots that go like 'what's it doing now?' 'My engines just stopped' 'My wings just folded' 'My gear wás down! .. I think' Good show Rox, that's a massive improvement!
