  1. Funny! Here's an alternative, also Funny, it's in German, should still work me thinks...( at : 0:31 another one starts, not so funny, me thinks something to lure you onto staying there)
  2. +1 on the age of the 1150. To have some form of 'future' proofing, I'd really go for a 970 or 980... sure, it costs more ... Like Jabo mentioned, this will also depend on the monitor / resolution. (Bit of a sidestep maybe, but what about VR, would he want to be be 'ready' or 'prepared' for that?)
  3. Our CloD server is back up and running, it's name has changed though: "Dangerdogz Americas (...)"

  6. So, in my hunt for a 1/64 (S) scale fork lift truck (I one to be able to lift my custom built 1/64pallets) I kinda failed miserably, as I had ordered a truck, 1:70 sized according to the box, but as it arrived it was much and much larger. Somewhere between 1:16 and 1:25. Failed? Well, this thing is all metal, steering rear wheels, connected to the steering wheel. The lift part goes up/down nicely in two stages, ánd it tilts ... ! All in all, a very nice model! And so, as I'm still modeling, I decided to create pallets fitting this model ... initially, I created a 1:18 scale pallet: That one appeared to be a bit too large, and further research shows this truck is actually 1:25 scale. So... And indeed, what's next? Safety warning: I was wearing glasses, happy about that as during the work on one of the pallets, I manage to snap the blade of my hobby knife... BANG! ... parts flying around, one of 'm hitting my forehead, above the right hand eye. Bleedin'! So, next I needed to replace the bladed. Opened up the container, picked out a blade ... yikes, sharp, cut my thumb! Bleedin' ! Should've worn gloves as well I guess....
  7. Due to maintenance, our game server is down at the moment. Will still take a while, it may be up on sunday, later in the day (GMT)
  8. Well, Fenrir creating and posting this video tutorial was brilliant! Yesterday, I managed to take off in the P51D, fly around, in perfect formation with Fen (P51D) and BluBear (F15C), - well, as you know, they do the formation flying, I just try and keep stable flight, Fen on the left, Bear on the right lol... Okay, so we flew, and then I landed. And nicely I did, or it did? Parked it up somewhere, took a break. Returned to the cockpit, and thought, "hey, this thing is good enough to fly some more!" ... so I took it back up again for some more flying... and landed yet again! Mind you, Fenrir created and posted the video, and I have not had a chance to watch it, now that's how effin' brilliant it is!
  9. Have added a Blue target for practicing bombing and shooting. Located at BC21, np7. View, looking East: To the left the gunnery targets, to the right, bombing target.
  10. Well, this was quite a messy session. Maybe it's just me, and I am flying way too much past few weeks... but I'm not feeling I'm learning that much ... lol I'll start talking less and hold back on comments, I think I am just uttering some frustrations, and I'm adding way too many "but's". Does not help the flow. And maybe, someone should select some suitable missions as preparation, in my opinion, we've had some fun, but also wasted some time left and right and center... sorry about that...
  11. Looks nice, though I do hope your building skills be at a much higher level than yer drawing skills ...
  12. Thanks for that, nice stuff.... I kinda did watch it all the way, not all that much action, but unique footage anyways! This shot:
  13. This might will come in very very handy for me ... and, I am sure for others too... ! Thanks very much Fenrir!
  14. Cool stove! No, wait, HOT stove!
  15. Do we even have that old missions that will still work ??
  16. Backing up data, I use the normal set of commands available. Old ones. lol. Like xcopy. And/Or Robocopy Or just the copy/paste using Windows Explorer. As you are saving the Windows 7 SSD - putting it aside-, why back it up at all? It should be safe...
  17. Unfortunately, I won't be there, I'm a bit sick / ill. However, have sent you a mission, 4 Blues, vs 6 Reds ... in your email! Have fun guys!
  18. 2. Record the current sequence of your game controllers, like this: After installing 10, it would be cool if you could achieve the same sequence, as then there's much less fiddlin' with IL2 and all... Also, check all 'other' hardware you have, printers, scanners, or whatever devices, whether they may/will need a Windows 10 driver, and if so, download it before you start installing.... well, you could postpone it until afterwards, but if you want to be prepared ...
  19. You could do that... though I would personally spend a bit more for a Samsung 850, but that's just me (I already got three of those running in pc's at home) With some clever management and tricks, a 128GB SSD could do fine, but you'd have to install all games/sims on a different (slower) traditional disk... You could keep the Win7 disk as a backup, though only if you install Windows 10 from scratch - If you decide to do the Upgrade route, then for sure, you will loose Windows 7. (Unless you first clone/copy the Win7 disk to the new SSD - Samsung has a fine piece of software for that - and then upgrade the new disk to Windows 10.) (Or, Upgrade to Windows 10 first, then clone the disk to the new SSD, then run the Win10 uninstall process on the old disk.... never mind... that'd be kinda silly...) (A downside of keeping Windows 7 on that disk, is that probably at the first slightest bump or 'issue' you come across using Windows 10, instead of looking for an - often simple - answer/solution to it, you think 'Oh well' and race the old disk back in... )
  20. While Windows 10 may seem to be a sore subject, I see no real and true reason for that. It works fine! For me, and for others. Some may have issues, but whether those are they really Windows 10 issues? I doubt it. For sure, there's a chance your Game Controller ID's may/will change sequence-wise, and you may have to either unplug/replug into different usb ports, or change the game settings once. If you are using software that has issues with Windows 10 (like Saitek) then you may want to hold of, or take a different road.
