  1. Ok , I have it all figured out now and we can run the ww missions with our settings so we will give that a try tonight.
  2. I plan to run standard co-ops or use ww server until we can see if I can edit missions sucessfully to get them to run as we wish. I believe that I can manually edit the planes in mission editor to change loadout but I am stumped about icons. It is my belief from reading the manual that server settings should override mission settings but having set up the server correctly there is still an issue. The manual is long and complicated so I might have this wrong. Editing a mission is a bit of work so until I get feedback on which missions we like there is no point in just randomly doing this and then not enjoying them. I have posted on WW dischord so hopefully someone with more experience there can help.
  3. Thanks craven, appreciate your help, we have some issues with icons and locked payouts but I have posted on your dischord
  4. Thanks FT, If you could prepare them as a first option that would be great and I can have a look later when Im more confident about using our server. The names are de-novorossiysk bay 42( with tc) uk-north africa '42(with tc) regards dave
  5. Thanks Craven we appreciate your generosity , however I have some issues 1) I cannot open the files in the mission editor as it can only looks for mission files and not files with .msnbin suffix so I cannot generate mission files, however it is my belief that you dont need this as I remove the large mission files from my generated co-ops and these run sucessfully. 2) I can use the files from my dogfight/GB_PublicServer folder to create a dogfight server on my own pc and successfully fly the WW missions, but if I copy the same files into the dogfight folder on the server and then try to run them on a dogfight server I get the file transfer error.
  6. very strange , no server messages for kicking , but then why only our server could the other user have remote access to Nogins PC ? but unlikley if ip keeps changing
  7. The only reason I can think of a server kicking a player is a ping kick, does our server have a tighter tolerance than others? Having said that another user should not effect your ping unless sharing a connection I would be interested to see a graph of his pings before and after this anomaly
  8. He is not a member of the squad and has no access to server settings or admin so cannot effect the server. Check your ping to server and see if it spikes when he joins, you can use a program like pingplotter
  9. Crash have you monitored the temps on your graphics card? Do you overclock this? Can you borrow a different card and try this?
  10. Further research has made me think that it would be best to change this to a 73 Squadron RAF Campaign No 73 were one of a handful of Squadrons transferred to protect the BEF in France in 1939-1940. Flying Hurricanes it fought actions intercepting reconnaissance aircraft, bombers and protecting the fairey battles in attacking convoys and bridges. Its last action was covering the evacuations from St Nazzaire. Historically it underwent conversion to night fighter operations but we will have some leeway here Subsequently they were transferred to Cairo and flying P-40s and Hurricane Mk 2s they fought in the desert campaigns against the Africa korp (we will put a short stay in Malta into the mix) Finally they converted to spitfires and covered the Italian and Balkan campaign. I have ordered a book on the squadron history and will use this as reference but the missions will be an approximation and we will have to substitute some planes. I would appreciate any thoughts or feedback on this
  11. Yes I intend to do this . I like that staying alive should be priority
  12. Now that I am able to generate missions and host I am planning to run a campaign loosely based on fenrers s P-38 campaign and based on Geoffrey Wellums career. With numbers currently low , we would all fly RAF, however if I can drum up enough support and others express an interest then both sides will be flyable. So will start with Battle of France, Battle of Britain, Reach out to France, Malta, and then fictionally the Desert Air Force. I would like to know if there is any interest in this from outside, Crash, Professor, Mosquito and Petrol ,who I have discussed this with on comms, so I can estimate numbers for missions. I also intend to promote this on the main BoX forums to try to get others interested in flying with us. This is in the very early stages so any suggestions or advise will be gratefully accepted.
  13. ok thanks ☹️ Given the large numbers involved in the mosquito mission perhaps its best if the BoX users fly on a public server.
  14. there will obviously be no P-38 campaign on Sunday. I would like to host BoX co-ops for those not interested in this event. Would that cause any server issues? If not how would be co-ordinate access to the server between the two users ?
