This subject makes me rather sad, i've always loved the Harrier and as most of you know it is being axed from British military service by the end of this year. :notfair:

A well known uk based airshow review site has put together this wonderful tribute with a montage of stunning images from the many years we operated the type.

Goodbye Harrier, we will miss you.

Thanks for that BB. It's sad to see the Harrier go, it is (and will remain) a unique aircraft.

The US Marine Corps still flies the Harrier, and I don't know of any plans to discontinue. I saw where the UK moth-balled their only carrier and now the VSTOL, what is the British plan for the future in regards to a military?

No disrespect implied...

Two of these and a big white flag. Should do the trick.

Is that from your private stash Arthur? I would hate to see the rest of them :) Where is Enforcer when you need him?

If you wanna know what the term "helmet fire" is for, try hovering one of these. Those pilots are masters at multitasking. Too bad they're being withdrawn from the British Airforce. Is the F35 going to take over?
