From the Reichstag itself I think...

A fine group of Dogz.

101_1792.jpg

on the way to getting drunk. You can always tell a Dogz glass at a bar...it's the empty one.

101_1795.jpg

You can tell this is photoshopped. Painless never brushes his teeth.

From the ARC private tour

bad photo taken inside of Painless' spit

101_1804.jpg

Spit 1 rebuilding. Notice the handle on the right...this is for manual gear lowering/raising. Not so nice app on the Mk 1.

101_1818.jpg

Wing getting rebuilt for the Mk 1. Four techs working full time for 3 years for just two wings.

At the IWM museum at Duxford (where the curator clearly stated they are in the business of 'preservation, not restoration'. They view restoration akin to blasphemy in their world:

"looks like 3 spits to me!"

101_1827.jpg

Spanish He111. They are trying to get rid of it...even for free.

A Bollingbrook.

101_1832.jpg

this is where my camera started dying. sorry for the lousy quality of the shot. This is from the actual Skunks Works shop from the states. Given to the curator personally by the famous Kelly Johnson.

FT explaining something. Sid hoping FT goes into silent mode.

on the bollingbrook, the curator, Chris, was telling us how they noticed this box on the floor attached to a pipe/tube exiting the craft that they had never seen before.

they thought at first it was for dropping flares, but came to the conclusion it was for releasing courier pigeons.

Painless with some cadet that he thoroughly creeped out when he hugged her for the photo

Me: "hey Sid, what type of Migs are those?"

Sid, in his dryest tone: "those are Yaks"
