  2. I see that the TS3 server looks to be up but I am getting a connection error every time I try to get on it. Can anyone explain??? EDIT: Sorry, false alarm. It seem after redoing my firewall machine I set the rules for outgoing traffic a little too high. All is well now.
  3. You say this is now your new 'default' skin. Can you actually edit default skins, especially for those that span across two or more models? Then I could add my call sign to several spit models at once by just editing the one default skin.
  4. Hey all, As you may or may not know or care for that matter, I have become the surrogate host of Beebop's Saturday night coops as his work schedule has changed. Though I will never be able to fully replace the enigma that is Beebop, I've been thinking of ways to add a little variety and started experimenting with Lowingrin's dynamic campaign generator and for the past 2 days have been able to host some good dynamic co-ops. Basically all damage inflicted on or received via the enemy by way of air power or the ground war has an effect on the overall progress of the conflict and ultimately the end result of the campaign. I've been getting nothing but positive feedback from those who've participated so far so it looks like this will become the new format for the Saturday night events. Suggestions are always wanted and welcome and I'll do my best to keep my mouth shut and create an enjoyable experience for all who'd like to join in. You can expect co-ops to start at or around 8 pm EST. Seems like we'll be starting off on some pacific theater stuff so don't forget your life jacket. Thanks guys, always a pleasure flying with you, Mayhem.
  5. Wish you the best Jim. Keep your chin up, like Streak said we're all here for you.
  6. Ok so Toad's server is down and no one has been on coms for hours. What is up with Friday night? You must all have "HOT" dates or suddenly gotten lives or something. Well, KNOCK IT OFF and get your priorities straight.

Well Mayhem I am insulted, you know I would never place trivial social interactions before flying time.

After a 11 hours working day, I had dinner 6:30, a glass (maybe two) of red whine, I fell asleep with my clothes on at 8 and woke up at 6 sat morning. Well..

  7. Rise Of Flight Iron Cross Edition 29.99 US at Gamestop and Barnes and Nobles. Came with 10 planes. Really kool.

  8. Final tally, Fenrir 1700, Mayhem 1300, 3000 points collectively. Not bad for a single sortie. Great job Fenrir, congrats. Epic fight, simply marvelous.

    Acronis

Well, I know this doesn't help with your current problem, but I have been using Macrium Backup for several years now and it's never let me down. I use the free version and the only thing missing is incrimental backup so you can't add to a current backup image you have to make a new image file for every backup but I hardly find it ia problem. With the licensed version incrimental backing up is availible, but without it it usually only takes me about 2.5 to 3 hours to make a backup so I just let it do it's thing overnight. I tried Acronis before but the version I had didn't detect all my drives for some reason. I'd recommend everyone use some form of backup software and store the images on a seperate drive. I pick up a nice Western Digital 1TB for about 75 dollar US about a year ago. Hope you get your issues worked out. Have you got any other clues as to the specific nature of the problem or what's causing it. There may be a way to verify the integrity of the image file.
  10. I tried 64 bit XP and it actually made all my programs run slower because of the extra step down that has to be done. Inside the OS like doing desktop tasks seemed a bit snappier but that was all. When I build my last machine I put 64 in it first and was thinking what a dog. Battlefield 2 ran like crap among other things. Then I popped in 32 bit and the machine just came alive. Everything from that point on ran like a scalded dog and not a lazy one. Of course this might change with 64 bit apps but you'd be better of going with Win 7 then so you can take advantage of DX11 along with the other optimizations for newer technologies and code. Everything is now being designed to run optimally on 7.
  11. Aww c'mon Crash. Nobody's gonna poke fun at you. Not everyone can afford a high end comp. Heck' date=' I'm using old workstations from 2004 that I'm upgrading. I sure can't afford one of those new whizbang comps. Plus don't forget that what is blazingly fast today will be putting along in a couple of years. I remember when I bought my Pentium 100 mhz comp. That was back when Windows newest release was Windows for Workgroups 3.1.1 I had the hottest thing going for about 3 months. [/quote'] You got that right and just remember that video card you paid 500 dollars for, I'll pick one up next year for $150 bucks or less. It all boils down to usability. Most stuff is so over priced when it first comes out it's ridiculous. And to be honest with you all the faster processing power does is allow the programmer more leeway as far as writing crappy or unoptimized code is concerned. I usually stay about 1.5 to 2 years behind state of the art especially in video card land and not only is my gaming experience fantastic, but my wallet thanks me. Then you can sell your vid card on ebay for a good price and upgrade for a few extra dollars on top of that. If you want to stay on the bleeding edge (which you really can't do because new products come out almost weekly) it's going to cost you a fortune and the manufactures are more the willing to rape you for keeping up with the Jones so to speak. Not saying there is anything wrong with getting the latest card or processor if you want to treat yourself but you have to admit it kind of hits you in the gut when you see the card you payed 500 buck for going for 300 a few months later.

    Gymkhana

Nice bit of driving but Ken Block ain't no Sebastian Loeb. As a matter of fact he's been crashing out of almost every WRC event he's been in. Still I give him his due for car control but you have to wonder how many takes did it take to get some of those sections perfect. You can do amazing things with editing.

    Dogsford

Ok please tell me someone recorded Dogsford this past Sunday on Fraps or the like that where I can download the vid.
  14. Sorry I had to miss Dogsford but I do have to spend SOME time with the family once in while. Now where is the track you recorded for me?
