I'm pretty hopeless with sentimentality but I too would like to thank you for the hosting over the past few years and the fun and games but above all I would like say that I'll miss you BG and I feel that I am a better person for knowing you sir. I think what you have here are some of the best people I have the honour of knowing and without a doubt THIS is your legacy (albeit a virtual one), a ragtag group of people with the love of a flight sim brought together in friendship by a great man. Salute sir, I will miss you.

Maybe its due to the investigation that is currently taking place, personally I believe it was the Frenchman in the A1 that killed BBD and the pilot deserves to be beaten/flayed for being a complete amateur/git/moron/blind bastard/idiot/erm..struggling for superlatives now but having seen the vid (look on the BBC website (maybe local website) I would conclude that it was completely avoidable ( a bit like the near miss with a Spitfire earlier).

Lt Gen Lesley McNair was an idiot who thought larger caliber cannons on tanks was a bad idea and vetoed all proposals to upgun the Sherman but the British went ahead and installed the 17pdr which gave the Sherman (which became known as the Firefly) a fighting chance (not frontally though) against Panthers and tigers.

Going Saturday, the rendezvous will have to wait a week methinks.
