  1. Not many clues.....for me anyway
  2. Goodyear is great at making tires, but they may have taken this experimental project a bit too far. The all-fabric inflatable aircraft was designed as a rescue plane that could be dropped to downed pilots behind enemy lines. The project was cancelled by the army, because they couldn't find a "valid military use for an aircraft that could be brought down by a well-aimed bow and arrow."
  3. Last night during coops the topic of a Navigation Icon remover came up...Fruitbat said he remembered one....so did I. I mooched in my collection and found it. I have uploaded it in a JSGME ready folder to the Vault in a zip file here , I don't know the author to credit them though. It removes all of the floating navigation icons from the air but not from your maps. It is compatible with our Dogz Icons and could easily be added to the folder we currently use, however, probably not everyone would want that so maybe it's better as a standalone. I will use it as I like to have realism and I'm happy with the map nav icons ( see maps in bottom right of piccies) but there is no compunction to use it as I know some like having floating visual markers. Usually those hosting coops and dogfights set the 'Navigation Markers' icons, sometimes they're on, sometimes not. Maybe using this would allow those that like to fly nav icons on to have them as hosters wouldn't need to disable them in setup (piccie below)? Cheerzen Sid

Within the folder 'ICON_NAV_Del' is a mod that removes all of the navigation icons from the air but not from your maps. It removes waypoints, target markers, attack/defend boxes from around aircraft, landing markers etc. The mod is in a JSGME ready folder that should be put in your game 'Mods' folder. It is compatible with the 'Dogz Icon' mods that we use. When activating it you will get asked if you want to continue because the 'Dogz Icon' mod (if installed) has already created the necessary folder - just say yes. Cheerzen I'm afraid I can't thank the creator as I don't know who it was.

  12. Feeling a lot better now....cough all but gone and cold symptoms pretty much gone too. Still at home until Friday so, knowing some things could do with sorting, I tidied up/updated my flying paperwork and thought....hmmm....I have a table with figures on it for calculating the Wind Angle for level bombing....what about a hand held calculator! I printed off a basic compass and the wind angle dial found in the IL2 bombsight and found a filing clip used for keeping paperwork together. The compass is to show the aircraft heading and wind direction, the wind angle dial for the aircraft heading and the clip is for the wind direction. Enter the aircraft heading onto the compass using the aircraft, place the wind direction pointer on it's heading and there is the offset angle...in this case 50 degrees to starboard. Works a treat
  13. Ummmm DD_VelikeiLukiDogfight....maybe look to put some more space, a LOT of space, between the Allied/Axis Air Spawn points....
