  1. Who's bashing? (excuse the pun)
  2. Rgr - I'm out of ideas in any case. Let us know how you get on BG
  3. Perhaps Jedi meant 'tasty' instead of 'excellent' - it's probably just a typo.
  4. I'm afraid The Who never really did it for me, they were a little before my time in any case. My tastes have always been on the heavier side of Townshend and co, although I've enjoyed seeing bands cover their stuff (Van Halen did an awesome cover of Won't Get Fooled Again at the NEC a few years back). I don't do opera either Jim - it's just not my cup of tea. Jabo
  5. Hi FT, you're right of course that CheckMods will replace any missing/damaged files with good ones from the blueprint, I just thought that removing the Swordfish first represented a more 'complete' replacement of a faulty mod. In any case, the mod cannot be removed simply by deleting the files (as we could with AAA UI for example) so running CM again is probably the best option. Why I'm doing this while I should be revising is a measure of just how dull an MCSE can get. Back to Advanced Networking I suppose. I kid you not, this book is A4 sized and an inch and a half thick. And that's just the Advanced Networking exam, there's another six to go. It might not be possible to die of boredom, but I'm definitely giving it a go. Jabo
  6. dohdohdohdohdohDOH! Of course, given that we're using UP2.0 all the modded aircraft are now built into the sfs files, not in the MODS folder. GAAAAAH! That's two hours of my life I won't get back... feckin mods, feckin computers, feck, feck, feckity feck feck.
  7. Stand by EDIT - Sorry Jim, can't find it right now - thought I knew where it was but can't seem to locate it.
  8. Bugger. I can be on TS if you want Jim?
  9. Unlikey to be a card issue then especially as you're running the best of the bunch anyway. As Jedi says, checkmods would find any missing/incorrect files. If you want to 'reinstall' the Swordfish, just delete its folder before running CM. Have you had this problem before Jim? Jabo
  10. I have to confess I know next to nothing about ATI drivers, being a confirmed nVidiaphile, but I'd be inclined to start there. I had lots of stability problems with my 9800GTX to start with and updating solved them all. Jabo
  11. Well, at least it's a change. I think Jedi could be onto something with a texture problem. I occasionally get the same thing on one of the Spitfires (one of the original ones, not a frankenplane), although it goes as soon as the countdown finishes. Have you tried an older gfx card driver to see if the same problem exists? Jabo
  12. The game never even got started for me m8; [attachment=2][attachment=3][attachment=1]
  13. Thanks alot, great info, i'll be keeping tabs on this You're welcome. If you're interested in aircraft restoration in general, the Historic Aviation forum over at Key Publishing's website occasionally turns up interesting info - Guess where the Hornet website info came from? Warning though - it gets incredibly anoraky from time to time, and I get the impression that they're not keen on people joining their little clique. Of the total posts I've made over there (three), two were ignored and the other got a smartass answer. I quit at that point, but I still lurk from time to time. Jabo
  14. Damn, knew you were going to ask that. I don't have the info to hand, but will dig it out. EDIT - Ask and ye shall receive. Mostly by clicking here.
  15. You might be interested to know Fruitbat that there is a group here in the UK building a replica Hornet for static display. It'll be the only example anywhere when it's complete!

  17. Hi Asas, I'm running a 20" HP w2007v at 1680x1050 with a 5ms refresh rate and I'm really happy with the quality. It's been superseded by the w2009 which is also a very nice and reasonably priced monitor. Jabo

    TS3 Needs updating

Mine updated automatically last night and I connected without problems. Just saying. P.S. I'm using the 64 bit version - I suppose that might make a difference. Jabo
  19. True, but the RAF have been dealing with multiple intrusions into UK airspace by Bears since the end of the Cold War (as well as during obviously). These muscles may be being flexed, but it's nothing new. Yep, I agree, it's got a dollop of YF23 in there as well. Jabo
  20. Modern Warfare 2? Didn't know it was nominated...

  22. Interesting. I wonder how 'mass' mass production is...1, maybe 2 before the money runs out?
  23. Just a heads-up to anybody out there using the Windows 7 Release Client. Quote from Bill's crowd. "To avoid interruption, it’s recommended that you and your customers rebuild test machines by using a valid Windows operating system before Windows 7 Beta and Windows 7 RC expire. Windows will automatically notify you that the expiration process is about to begin. Two weeks later, your PC will shut down every two hours. For Windows 7 Beta, the bihourly shutdowns will begin July 1, 2009. The software will expire August 1, 2009. For Windows 7 RC, the bihourly shutdowns will begin March 1, 2010. The software will expire June 1, 2010." Oh, and rumblings are that Windows 7 is having a price hike at some point during the summer. Anyone fancy a wager on exactly when? Jabo
