I feel your pain Ross. I recently blew a hose in my backhoe and I decided to replace all the hoses in the hoe portion of the backhoe. Maybe 8 hoses. Since they had to take it away I asked them to do a service. $2250 later! I get the hoe back and almost immediately, the two 12 volt batteries die. Not that expensive to replace but I have to wait 2 weeks to get them on special order. I picked them up yesterday and installed them this morning.

If I were you Tribunus, I would copy and paste your 4.08m version. Rename one of them to 4.08m clean so you don't lose track of what it is. Then install the4.09m patch to the other 4.08m.

I had to get the Windows cleanup install utility Colin. You can get it here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 It will remove Il2.

It sees that you already have it installed. Just change the name from Il2 Sturmovik 1946 in your UBIsoft folder to something like Il2 and you should be able to run the install.

I think some of you are making this overly complicated. The 4.09m final is just an interim step until AAA and our techies figure out what has to be done to get us to the "final solution". We will still be flying mostly with the current switcher on 4.09 modded. IF you want to install the new 4.09m final patch and fly some of the new aircraft, all you need to do is install it over a clean copy of 4.07m, the 4.08m patch and add the no CD crack. All this stuff is in the vault. Waiting until the dust settles ain't going to buy you much. How big is the download Jim? The best and most reliable (and probably the only way truthfully) is to use FTP to upload it.. As per instructions here: http://www.dangerdogz.com/forums/index.php/topic,6618.0.html If you can just do the FTP bit and PM me when done I can do the rest 600mb approx. I'll hold off uploading for now unless you think I should. I was just going out the door this morning when I saw the patch thread on UBI Zoo, udderwise it would be in the vault by now.
