  1. So who will be the first to try this baby? Maybe Snacko or JP? http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5870-review-test/1
  2. You have always been able to shoot me down OT.
  3. Rators are HD's that run at 10,000 rpm rather than 7,500. Raid 1 is putting two HD's in line where both are written and read,
  4. 4.09 README Warning: The current version 4.09m is not compatible with the previous versions of the sim when playing over the network (Online). Previously left rudder was inducing right roll and vice versa. Ta-152C wing area corrected from Fw 190D-9 values (~1.2m²) -> slightly improved turn performance DB-603L critical altitude increased from 9200m to 10200m. Changes in Graphics (by Maddox Games) Increased buffer size for stationary objects (buildings etc.) to prevent freezes under some circumstances. Colors of water corrected for Water=2,3,4 modes. Now when looking down it is no more black/dark blue. Optimized Shaders for Nvidia 8X00 series video cards. Added a new mode for increased visibility distance. Visibility increased from 36 km to 72km under "Clear" and "Good" weather conditions. Note: This mode is not optimized for performance: (freezes and low fps are possible on low-end systems). This new feature is available only in "Perfect" game graphics mode. Also, there is a possibility to have problems with clouds and their shadows at far distances, due to some engine limitations. Modify your conf.ini string in the [Render_OpenGL] section to use this mode: LandGeom=3 (new mode is ON) LandGeom=2 (back to normal mode)
  5. Another update. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=9977 If they were able to crash the servers with a PDF file imagine what will happen with the patch.
  6. I know but I still believe in the tooth fairy. Maybe tomorrow?
  7. I thought some of you gents might appreciate viewing an old UBI Zoo thread regarding the Halifax restoration at Trenton RCAF Museum. The visit was organized by Jensenpark and this was the first (and last) time I met him. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=8421081562
  8. Some more boring pictures from sunny Canada. The wife was kind enough to pose for them to give you lads a view perspective.
  9. Something to do with the size of packets sent back and forth with the host. The smaller the packet, the more likely it will get through without issue. So yes, everyone should set their connection to 56k.
  10. What a weird thing to do! Surely it would have been just as effective if the glass was on a stand. On second thoughts, the power of advertising suggests this was a very effective way of getting the point across. I wonder if I could convince my wife?
  11. I am in no rush to finish the pond Arthur. I suspect it won't be finished until sometime next year. Once I plug the berms, it will fill very quickly and I want things to be done long before that. The clay all has to dry out and the berms etc. have to be shaped with a bulldozer. I want to cover the clay with top soil and install culverts. I seem to go in spurts and make sure I have several projects on the go at the same time, so I don't get bored with "same old". I am also in the process of landscaping with some very large rocks. I am trying to terrace a slope so that it can be grassed and cut. I don't have a lot of experience in this sort of thing. I usually start something then sit back and try to think out the next move. After the pond is finished, I need to wait a year until the pond settles before I can stock. I'll try to post some pics of my rock building. We are usually good here until mid December before winter starts in earnest.
  12. And have just started work on another pond here:
  13. A quick update! The pond is starting to take shape. The island is now visible except it is not yet an island. The berms on the right will give you some indication how hight the water level will be. This section of the pond will be completed and then joined with the area where they are removing peat moss. Please note the funny green colour of the water on the right side of the island. The wife had a piss there!
  14. A very sad time for you Angus. Take all the time you need and we will be here when you are ready to rejoin the flock.
  15. I started a thread on UBI Zoo. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/49310655/m/9231064787
  16. Is that a 737 you are flying Pup?
  17. I went through this Tom a few years ago. As I recall it was bbloke who recommended a converter for me that worked great. I'll have a look through my files and if I have to, I will email Bloke. I am sure if you posted on UBI Zoo you would get an answer in seconds.
  18. What a God forsaken place! I think we should all leave and then nuke em.
  19. Great looking pup, Pup. I am sure he has found a good home. No lectures but when we will see you again?
  20. I would like to echo some of the comments about JP's support of the vets. Really quite outstanding and so generous with his company's money. I remember well the day we went to see the Halifax restoration and he sprung for a great breakfast. The team working on the restoration treated us like kings although Kelly was obviously a Queen! Well done m8. You are a credit to the the Squad.
  21. Did you install Microshaft Net Framework 2?
