    3D Modeling

:):) I'm very close to buying a 3D printer, so many things I would like to make. Being able to drive a CAD setup helps of course, as does the fact that I was a manufacturing engineer once upon a time.. First project will likely be an ABS gear to repair the foot pedal adjuster in my car, then there are joystick ideas I have!
  2. Hi Chaps, Can you point an old fart in the right direction to getting CLOD setup to suit our server? Would like to start shoveling some of the dust off (going to need a pick axe to start with though) and seeing if I can get muscle memory working again.. Have Steam version..
  3. lol Rox! Turns out my X55 is officially a POS, so sticky any semblance of fine control is impossible. Looking at modding it now, guy who works for me has a 3D printer so going to get him to make a couple of couplers for me, and extend the crap out of it (floor mount the blasted thing so I get a ton of leverage). I can make it so it is fully functional by including the electrical connectors and keeping the twisty bit I don't actually use... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Bought and paid for mine too, not downloaded it yet (work is such a drag sometimes)..

    new toy

Very nice Dave, not a model I am familiar with but looks damned good! Getting used to the 'merican makes and models so am out of touch with the Euro stuff. Will go google now [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. We have RAM we can allocate if required, 32Gb available and webserver doesn't need that much? it would require a restart though.
  7. Thanks Pooka! That made it so easy for me [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Might be Opera? Firefox and Safari seem to work ok for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I blame Nick, although it was probably me!
  10. If you happen to have the rights a menu appears to the left, you can then add or edit the placement of widgets. Home page can have a different setup to the forums.. i will get the chat/shoutbox reinstalled at some point this week.
  11. Reinstated Nick, copy + zap + reinstall + paste and all good now.
  12. Database is hoooge! I believe I have found the co-ordinates for Jim, seems the new map did not think his location data was precise enough, once confirmed I'll restore them. Eyes are sore now so going to lug some wine and chill out.

  14. Allegedly it imported from the old map, I took a quick look after installing it and it seemed complete. It does make use of the location field in your profile. I'll confirm the missing pins aren't an overly tight permissions thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I will indeed reinstate that Nick, seems that was the only bit that got its knickers in a twist. Thinking I may have to copy your work, then uninstall and reinstall the pages to get it back in working order
  16. So far so good.. Granted I have to install out add-ons now, but we are finally running V4
  17. Thanks for asking Colin, now that I have migrated us to the EU server I'm saving myself $60 a month, and the current subscription level (despite two being stopped) is now covering the cost with my own affordable subscription [emoji4] Talking of migration I have tested upgrading to the new version of the software and it went well. Sadly not all applications have been ported yet, the application application (excuse the stutter there LOL) is one example, however enough have now made the grade that I cannot see a reason to procrastinate any longer. The member map may take some magic pixie dust conjuring to import current data, or worse case we start over (or I use a shadow copy to manually replicate the data). So to that end I am going to do the upgrade, probably, Sunday evening US time and it *should* take no more than two hours. Skin customization will need to be done after that, especially the header image integration to replicate what we currently use. Wish me/us luck!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk PS hope DD_Cheap_1 and DD_Cheap_2 have been able to cough up to FT now! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Life so gets in the way, and I personally am starting to realize that is actually a good thing! DCS looks to be a keeper, I find the models pretty good (and demanding) and enjoy the variety that it gives - props vs jets vs rotary. Will it be the new IL2? Time will tell... 19. That is a beauty for sure! Nice find Nick! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Email address updated, if difficulties persist please try password reset, or email me [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Gazelle is an interesting beast, auto throttle is a novel idea. You'll enjoy it [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Ok so I'll setup an account for us to use, and finish building this server for us. It'll be on .140 Arjen and RDP via usual port with usual username/ pass combo. Need to get box fully updated and see if Norton security will run on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah - 2 is in open beta but requires ownership of the Nevada module unfortunately Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'm going to build a Server 2012 VM, then 'workstation' it like I did with the DF/CLOD server. I will pass on the details once done. Question is - DCS1.5 or 2, or both?
