  1. I went from a Dell to a Lenovo laptop for work, would not touch a Dell again given the choice. The Lenovo Jabo linked looks like a steal at that price, although the 1Tb SSHD is a tad misleading (it is a hybrid - a true SSHD would cost as much as the laptop!). I got the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon, about $1400 with touch screen and 2560 x 1440 resolution (and very usable at that res too) and Dolby sound!
  2. Damn. Wish I could have made it, never been so far away from an airshow as I am now (St Louis show was cancelled this year). Nice shots there Jade! Thanks for sharing
  3. Eldest daughter, Bella, taught herself to knit and then crochet. Realised there was a dearth of patterns for premature and low birth weight babies, so set about creating patterns and the items, photographing and documenting them and then writing a book. She was born 10 weeks early herself, and weighed a mere 3lbs, that gave her inspiration. Now been published on Amazon Kindle here: http://amzn.com/B011PU7L0K Took her a few months of dedicated graft, pretty good for an 18 year old
  4. I'm better trained than you, I get to push the cart (trolley) and follow. At least that is what I try to do, my wife has an uncanny knack (and one I suspect is shared by all of her species gender) of disappearing. So I end up doing the women shopping path thing trying to find her. Saves on a gym subscription, so I shouldn't complain. Helps pay for all that essential stuff she buys, I'm still working on how to determine what is essential, everything I pick seems to fall into the frivolous category...
  5. There was another report of a 30 year old father of two, thought it would be impressive to launch a firework off his chest. Impressive yes, but for entirely the wrong reasons, it was the last thing he did. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3153039/Postal-worker-30-dies-setting-firework-CHEST.html
  6. Which browser is he using? Try Firefox/Google Chrome/Opera and see if that allows printing? Vista has probably got an ancient version of Internet Explorer, it should be buried without ceremony really, got more holes in it than my cheese cloth briefs
  7. Good for him! Thanks for sharing Mick, always nice to read good news
  8. Pretty sure I grandfathered in on the Nevada map
  9. Thanks Tolwyn! I added Liveleak BBCode support, and then edited your post using the 'Share' -> 'Video Link', and it now shows Liveleak videos embedded
  10. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-33115944 Need to work out how to embed BBC videos
  11. F86 tempts me. Got so many modules though, and insufficient time to use them... Still not managed to get the FW190 off the ground, blaming it (for now) on the sticky X55.. can't possibly be my lack of skills!
  12. Got windows 10 running here on 2 PCs, gaming rigs. 1 ATI and 1 nVidia, nVidia was easier for driver installs. But so far Wifey and Son love it, the compatibility issues with Win8 are no longer evident, it is very fast to boot and light on resources. I read that MS will offer free upgrade for a year, but after that there may be some sort of subscription model. Although they have gone on record to say they will offer security and bug fix updates indefinitely.
  13. Sid mate, can you remove our TS password from the Spartans post please? It is in general view, might get some rabid types enter our TS
  14. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing. Wonder if my banker would let me invest in a new hobby
  15. Unlimited ammo any one? I would probably have used wonder woman view too, kind of distracting and pointless having dual cockpits.
  16. Ooops. Meant to say eldest daughter, my eldest being a lad would not be too pleased if word got out...
  17. Whisper is an option apparently! Any way, Mumble server is up and running on default port. You will need to self register with the server, no idea if I set a password or not though
  18. Amazing what you can find! Wonder if I should persuade my eldest daughter (who is an avid knitter) to create a Spitfire equivalent?
  19. Our TS co-exists on our wbesite, mumble server could also coexist. TS was installed and configured by me, and uses a MySQL database. Not sure if Mumble does use MySQL or not though, but a minor point.
  20. Nope no server required Mumble is easy to set up, and from what I recall is less resource hungry than TS
  21. TS is free, we have a clan license, and from a resource point Mumble would use no less than TS. Mumble is open source, so would be free for us to host. We can host Mumble as well as TS at the same time
