  1. Just placed my order for an X55, having been given an award at work out of the blue Old topic being necro'd I know, but.. Any profiles to share? Any hints that are new with this HOTAS?
  2. Our anti-spam measures do tend to conflict with alcohol consumption, I ought to re-write them so being drunk is a requirement not a bar
  3. http://dangerdogz.com/test/ Have at it, register and give it a whirl. All content will be erased when w are done testing though
  4. Word just above avatar is the rank The blue bar has the forum name
  5. Had not realized search was broken by the last security update, but have now fixed it. Apologies for that! NameCheap dynamic DNS client was broken, had to reset the password. Please review: http://dangerdogz.com/forums/topic/11994-namecheap-dynamic-dns-passowrd-and-client/ And update your clients accordingly.
  6. Resent the password to you both. Will update the DynDNS post in private section with password, as it is the same password for everyone
  7. Hang around some more then! We even share our sheep sometimes, if the liquor flows enough that is
  8. Double check the password you are using for DNS update, ddcrash.dangerdogz.com was not pushed to DNS.
  9. Very weird. The DNS record on namecheap is correct, however pinging crash.dangerdogz.com resolves to the wrong IP. This indicates there is a higher level failure in the Internets DNS propagation, in other words Dave... ..you have broken the internet!! Can you try a different name, dd-crash.dangerdogz.com would be my first try.
  10. Firewall? DNS updater not running? Some detail would help
  11. Welcome to the Pound John! Wolvo eh? They attempted to educate me in Bridgnorth just down the road, when I wasn't skiving and taking the bus to Wolverhampton that is You landed really well mate, you simply cannot get a better introduction to flight sims than with this tawdry lot
  12. Took me a few seconds to get it
  13. Combined with Athur's link: http://www.google.com/get/cardboard/ Yes cardboard, bit of elastic (rubber bands from stationery cupboard) and some padding, job done! cardboard_design_v1.0.zip
  14. Pedals for me then PM me payment details, and I'll reply with shipping details.
  15. Definitely interested in the pedals! Twisty joystick does not cut it Nick got first call though. Warthog is sooo tempting too.
  16. Classic, such as it is. I don't like the interface, I do like the resource usage though. Desktop shortcuts are OK, but finding newly installed programs is a faff - Windows button -> search is not too different, then pinning to task bar or 'Start' which is the full screen version of what we are used to with 7.
  17. Running 8.1, aside from the bloody awful interface it is much more responsive than 7, and uses much less RAM. I don't install in anything with 'Program' in the name of course, DCS runs smooth, not had a chance to see how IL2 runs yet but thinking it will be fine.
  18. Very effective By the way ODH, to post YouTube videos just paste in the url, it gets converted automatically and will show in-line as it does now after I edited your post
  19. Your install is on your G: drive and Steam is on C:? If you want to recover your old steam library, if it still exists, then I suggest you find it (usually under \program files (x86) on your original C: drive) Then: Exit Steam Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps folder and Steam.exe Run Steam.exe in the recovered directory, make a shortcut to this for future use and/or update the existing shortcut. Steam will then re-download itself, and recover the installed files (they will need to re-install but not download again) The My Dovcuments folder you mentioned, copy contents of that to your new one after running IL2 BoS once (so it creates a new one).
  20. Glad you like it Ross! Happy New Year to you guys too
  21. Bit too rich for my taste too Have mapped toe brakes to the hat switch, that helps! (who needs view panning with TrackIR anyway )
  22. Got the Dora today, after having obtained a MSFFB2 for a massive $20 Really missing my rudder pedals though, makes it really tough.
  23. Here you go. PBS Carrier - Landing on a Pitching Deck Pt. 1.mp4 PBS Carrier - Landing on a Pitching Deck Pt. 2.mp4 Worth watching too
