@Arthur - The problem you might have is that Canon UK won't look at the camera because it wasn't bought here. I could be wrong though. Looking forward to Dux now - much camera geekery! Jabo

It's a genuine UK one Arthur. I toyed with the idea of a squirrel, but decided that I'd rather pay the extra and have the warranty! Incidentally you might want to check your home insurance as they sometimes limit the cover for items used away from the house, I know I've had to up mine for cameras, watches etc in the past. Jabo

I dunno FT, I kinda like it and will probably give it a try now I've got a camera which will do it. That said, for Duxford I'll probably be shooting JPG and RAW format for later photoshopping. I have just received a groupon (voucher thing) for 32GB class 10 SDHC (Patriot) at £15 apiece, so I think I'll probably pick up a couple.

I'd want to know the current drain through that LED before I thought about hooking it up to my computer - USB ports don't provide much power and trying to draw too much current through can permanently damage the port. At the least you'll probably need a resistor in series to ease things a bit. Mayhem's your man for electronic jiggery-pokery IIRC.

Maps vary from mission to mission, so there's no specific map and in any case, we use the 'GPS' map in co-ops so there's no real nav required. One which would be useful to familiarise yourself with would be the Stalingrad map as that's what we're using in the SEOW. Jabo

Yes, my pal's scooby was touching 150 from time to time on that run. Bloody quick. I've got to 130 previously (several years ago - before I grew out of habitual speeding) although having been alarmed at the way the steering response changed at that speed I backed off and let the car slow down to a something more sensible. The fastest I've ever been in a car on a public road was in one of those (I wasn't driving at the time). For the record we covered the 20 miles of the M69 motorway in under 10 minutes! At 3pm one Saturday afternoon... Jabo
