  1. Weather for Friday is currently excellent, light winds, clear skies and temps in the high 20's (that's celcius). Presumably means heavy snow with drifting in gale force winds for the weekend. Wrap up well chaps Jabo
  2. One for Skidders - with nine days to go to the official start of this years Legends bash, the Bearcat blows out the cobwebs... Also confirmed for this years show. BBMF Lanc, Spit & Hurri (Sunday only) Flying Bulls Corsair (wot no P-38?) Horsemen Spitfire formation display (including 2 Mk 1s) Four-ship Hawker biplane display (2x Nimrods, Hind and Demon) 2x Gladiators P-51s including Princess Elizabeth and Moonbeam McSwine blue-nosers plus lots more!
  3. I think 100 is the max in game FT, although perhaps it can be managed in the stick software.
  4. Nothing about Dom needing a longer one? That's an opportunity missed... I have nothing sensible to add to this thread so I shall get my coat... Jabo
  5. Not sure mate, but the FAA museum at Yeovilton would be high on my list - Maybe better to do that early in the week if a return visit to Kent is on the cards.
  6. Thread Hijack Pt 2. I first saw this guy way back in '96 (or '97) on the G3 tour which also featured the little-known guitarists, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani . One half-hour set and I was totally hooked. One guy, one guitar and one chair held an entire audience (about 14,000) completely spell-bound - Worth a look I hope. Just noticed that the post I thought I'd made regarding the young lady in the first post seems to have disappeared, but wow, there's some serious talent right there. Jabo
  7. Although I understand that Mrs P (a remarkably tolerant woman I have always thought) has drawn the line at the dispersal hut. Apparently the request for a flagpole to fly the RAF standard from was denied. Jabo
  8. That's almost too inspiring for words. Next person who whinges about having had a bad day gets that link. Jabo
  9. It definitely needs a bar, Barcardi optic for you, JD optic for me, keg of Speckled Hen for Swep. That's brilliant Mick - great stuff!
  10. Wildcat update: first test flight carried out successfully.
  11. Another intel snippet. Looks like the Wildcat is going to be making a welcome return to Flying Legends this year! Jabo
  12. Not necessarily, all three pilots regularly fly the spit, and the performance envelope for the display should be well within the capabilities of either machine. It'll certainly make a nice change though. Question is, which Spitfires?
  13. New Horsemen intel! Word is that the display team will be swapping their normal P-51 mounts for Spitfires for this years Leg Ends show! Don't worry though BluBear, Lizzy won't be heading back to the US until after the July show.
  14. Only if I tab out and back into the game. I take it that this isn't the same problem? Jabo
  15. Either, but Wednesday's probably better for me. Guess I need to go reinstall the game.
  16. is busily disassembling the Swichbox Mk2 in preparation to start...Switchbox Mk3!

  17. Don' it just. Handy for you too Chris.
  18. Date's in the title Dom - 22/06/13 - And although there's no mention that I've seen, I suspect it would be a no-go for the pooch - most shows don't allow 'em. @Kev - well you could, but then you'd miss out on the sparkling wit and erudite conversation of your fellow DDz....Unless we were all in your bedroom....um...ewwww. Jabo
  19. Anyone else up for this? I know I'm planning to go along with Sir Tomfen. line-up looks great - BBMF, Mitchell, Swordfish, Hunter, Mustang, P-40, Stearman, Apache, Vulcan (woohoo!!), more Spits and Hurris, some other new stuff and some more old stuff too. At just £15 for grownups, it's a bit of a bargain too. Jabo
  20. Yes, an awesome show and I feel privileged to have seen it. Never mind though, you have legends to look forward to!
  21. And the photos Eagle Squadron Eagles with Sally B Spit 1A 'Princess Elizabeth' & 'Snafu' F-86 Sabre
  22. What a show! Superb weather, amazing flying and Dogz (and families) in attendance - it doesn't really get much better - Got one or two photos coming... Highlights for me were the Eagle Squadron formation (both as a four-ship with Sally B and as a 13-ship (!) formation with the Red Arrows), awesome Sabre and Hunter displays, Stephen Grey having to abort the P-40F landing and go around again, BBMF's PRXIX etc etc etc etc Brilliant! Jabo
  23. O M G - Just came across this from the IWM "The Eagle Squadron will form the centrepiece of the IWM Duxford Spring Air Show 2013 on Sunday 26 May, opening the show at 1400 with a four-ship routine before splitting into pairs, followed by a formation with B-17 Preservation Ltd’s Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress ‘Sally B’. The Eagle Squadron will take to the skies for a second time during the Air Show’s three and a half hour flying programme when they fly in formation with the RAFAT The Red Arrows prior to the Reds’ show-closing routine. This one-off formation looks set to end the IWM Duxford Spring Airshow 2013 on a high."
