Online is pretty frustrating at the moment, Wings of liberty still very popular and hard to get a slot on, also suffering a lot of issues since last patch with overload. Icon on servers are just airquake ,lots of vultching and head on collision Lots of friendly fire on all servers Online does not seem to be any kind of priority so can't see customised icons any time soon.

I was going to get the fighterstick but read that ch isn't supporting software and there are issues since last windows 10 update. The saitek sticks are getting a bit of bad reviews over quality so as I was stuck I had another go and managed to fix my existing one again, the issue is a poor connection between throttle and stick so once I had this sorted I superglued the connection to hopefully stop it happening. It's probably only a temporary fix but will give me more time to decide what the best option is

thanks, I did consider these but I dont want to risk a second hand one , so I think Ill order the ch fighterstick and see how I get on with this

my x-52 has given it up , throttle ok but connection between throttle and joystick o/c must be a bust wire or connector- so need a new one - any suggestions appreciated if I get another x-52 then I wont have to map all my buttons again so thats favourite is the pro version any better?

ok so went to forum, win 7 users have to update their .net, and can load it now

well surprise , mine isnt launching after update, I have beta thing off and have varified files ............ not that bothered as dont play it as I still think its a clustfuck of a game, so much potential ruined

I was going to put up some videos but files were too big so here is screen shots from 2 nextbase cams- first my cam and second my friends, thats my GT86 in view you can see the model numbers in pics, mine is higher spec cams come with their own software or you can use quickview, there is sound as well as video. they take 3 minuite sections and there are plenty of options hope this helps Dave

I found for too fast with the cherval profile I used in il2 , I use the smooth profile that comes with for and find it helps, I'll try to make Monday as well

Do you use the launcher or exe ? best to use exe ( mine is found here "C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\bin\game\Il-2.exe" ) One thing to try is to put the exe and master server address in the exceptions list for your firewall

I'm in for Monday, Wednesday or Thursday as long s icons and GPS are on, I don't like the icons but they are better than without, I don't think this game displays dots or planes very well and makes it unplayable to me without the icons

Ok Im flying a fair bit on the servers to test them out, here are some thoughts There are generally only 4 or 5 busy servers at european time these are Wings of liberty Tactical Air War Finnish VirtualPilots DEDs European server These fill up fast and are sometimes you cant get on them as they are full but the others have under 10 on them Im finding the no icon servers really difficult as Im flying alone , Its nearly impossible to spot the dots especially down low, I spot them, dive in and they dissapear. full real tend not to use chat and Iv yet to try their teamspeak So Im flying mainly on DED server untill I can get up to speed. They at least use chat and try to co-ordinate but it can be a bit air-quake with everyone bunched up in one area. I will try wings of liberty next with teamspeak but It would be good if we could get one of the more full real types with short icons on but I guess that either not possible or there is no demand.
