Enjoy! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/goodwood-revival/8753919/A-rare-Spitfire-Mark-I-takes-to-the-skies-once-more.html Quote
DD_Arthur Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Cor! She's a beauty. Fantastic in cockpit video. Quote
rox Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Yes, that's indeed awesome! Old stuff with wings needs to fly, there should be a law about that. Quote
rox Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Seriously I can't help to wonder how many more undiscovered wrecks there are in the channel sands, and burried around fields and forests in general. Would be the most epic thing ever to take a stroll along the beach and discover a damn Spitfire being unearthed by the waves! I would selfishly haul it away under cover of darkness and not share it with anyone, occasionally mummering something along the lines of "my precious" in its presence. Quote
JensenPark Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Recognize it chaps? It was the one we saw in John Romaine's workshop when taking the tour. (it was the one where they were showing up the hand pump for the gear) Sweet to see it together... sorry - crooked Quote
Rattler Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Nice to see John again. I remember him from Grumpy's visit to Edmonton. Good time! Nice plane to see up again - a 'pure' Spit! Quote
