1. DDz Quorum Painless Posted October 18, 2006 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 18, 2006 ~S~ Fine fellows, I haven't built a model plane for years much less a Spitfire MK IXc CLP !! Just thought I'd post some pics of this 1/48th Spit I've just spent 3 weeks,(on and off), building. I expect quite a few of you guys build models of various sizes including, I know, flying ones !! (too clever for me ! lol) I helped build exhibition models for 3 years in the RAF but that was a long time ago and now my eyes need glasses and my hands shake uncontrollably !! LOL Recognise the paint scheme ?? lol ~S~ Painless Mangler tip: Photos are best viewed by right clicking the thumbnail and selecting 'Open in new window/tab' At least that is hte case in Firefox as there are no scroll bars..( Quote

1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted October 19, 2006 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 19, 2006 Bloody hell. I assumed that you had airbrushed that m8. The paintwork detail is truly impressive! I also neted that viewing the images is best done by right clicking the image and opening ina new window/tab. At least that is the case in Firefox. I'll add that tip to your original post airless Quote
Quazi Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I wish I knew of a place to purchase model kits. I am not interested in anything less then 1\48 scale. I'd much rather find the 1\24 scale models. I know you pay a bit more for these, but I love the size. Anyone know of any reputable online companys selling models here is the US. I know some are of better quality that others. I have had some Revell models that took as much time getting pieces to properly fit than it di to actually put the damn thing(s) together. Quote
Guest Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I LOVE THAT PLANE. .I HAVE BUILT PLASTIC MODELS FOR 38 YEARS... .I build Models in PLastic. I have a Lindberg Motorized 1/125 scale destroyer called the Blue Devil. USS Melvin 680 and IT was in the battle of the Suraigao Straits..Where destoyers lined the sides as a major thrust of jap cruisers tried to push through and turned them back..This was due to old man Nimitz Quote
