GreyKnight
Urghh, see the terrible stutter/lag around 4min mark, when he's flying along the coast. And now imagine how powerful these PCs are if they're at a convention showing the game off.
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted November 5, 2010 Author 2. Administrators Share Posted November 5, 2010 don't worry GK, its because the computers they were supplied at the expo only had 2 gigs memory, which is the min specification for win 7, duh! apparently oleg wasn't to chuffed. by the way the machines were i5's with nvidia460's in them, so nothing super computer ish. they just needed a load more ram. 2. Administrators Jabo Posted November 6, 2010 2. Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2010 A bit more super-computer ish than some of us have m8 - Looks like I'll need to shell out for a new graphics card (at least) once the game launches
DD_Arthur
Mmmm.....if it's gonna be bf110tastic then I think I'll need a new CPU and more ram. Which means bye, bye good 'ol XP.
Kimosabi
The best cheap option for people that runs a duo and doesn't go on a i7 rampage, would be to start out with getting a Quad and slap as much RAM as you possible can in there. Big games needs big workbenches and the RAM is that bench.
2. Administrators Jabo Posted November 8, 2010 2. Administrators Share Posted November 8, 2010 Got the Q9650 now, so looking at 8GB rather than 4 of RAM and either a GTX480 or one of the new 500 series cards depending on cost at game release. I will be playing it, that much is certain. Jabo

And that landscape! ARGH, gonna need to rob a bank for my new rig!
