Sweper Posted November 7, 2009 Report Share Posted November 7, 2009 ~S~ Mates. Last evening when FT hosted a "thunder storm" mission my frame rate was almost at bottom rate. Lowest I had was 9 FPS! Today I checked the FPS playing the The Blackdeath track and compared to what I had before using Fraps. I new that something was fishy and now I saw it with my own eyes. If it's off in the Game's profile, also check the settings in the Global section, In the settings for IL-2 Forgotten Battles, it is set to "Use Global Setting (Auto)" No good? What about V-sync? You show 40 before you ever load your game and what ever else you use while gaming. Here is a shot of mine. From my old Machine Win XP 32 I see there are even a couple on there I can take off, knowing what I know now. Also run a dxdiag, and run all the test. Make sure the DirectX cube 3D image spins slowly, enough you can read it. If it spins fast you have a problem with Video drivers, ore DirectX itself. Off to bed. FT helped me to get rid of some programs running in the background as well. Have runned the BT again but no difference. No sound issue either. Blast... Thanks Friar, will check this one. I´ve used a program that checked how componets are performing and searched for bottlenecks in pc but I sent it to the trash bin yesterday since it was a shareware and it had expired. Is there another program to download somewhere that checks cpu ram and grafic performance? I´ve read about a program but can´t remember its name. Sweper Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Salute! Sorry for a late answer. I dont know what happend, maybe a partial break down of my grafic card. Anyway, I bought the latest Asus GTS250 512mb "Dark Knight" since I could not find a solution to get as steady fps as I used to have. Now IL-2 works like a charm. My first measurment was made in may (when I had no trouble with occasional low fps) and BlackDeath showed: 7348 Frames, 28 min, 62 max and 50.641 avrage fps. With new grafics I get: 7911, 28, 62 and 55.081. No bigger change compared to from the time it worked quiet well, but a big difference to what I got when it did not worked that well. I let the grafics run on default settings and the sceenery look so good. Also I see no fps drop in any wheather conditions, lots of trees, clouds, water, beaches whatsoever. Only when over large citys. My config file I set water to 3, forest to 3 and something else I forgot. Me happy now! Swep Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
