Tried it, initial look seems positive... but need to fliegen a bit more.

 

And for sure, I am going to forget and thus regret the fact I put that Startup.cfg on Read-Only!

Heh, I made a copy of the original startup.cfg and put it beside the IL2 icon on desktop.... till Windows rearranges everything for me anyway.

They'll be a new spotting system introduced with the next update - along with the Hurricane being released too I hope.  

When does the present sale finish?  Next Tuesday........

Can't enable or disable mods with the confg on read only. Have to change the file permissions to swap.

On the new computer the plane spotting was not so great but since going through post 1 here they're much better. Pick up planes at 20k if I zoom in although the dots are pretty small.

I copied the startup.cfg and renamed it as the original just in case before I started

Oh yeah. I changed one thing. There's a section in the startup.cfg about max framerate. I assume a value of 0 is unlimited. I changed that to twice the refresh rate of my monitor (120 for me).
