Make sure you buy the unlocked 'K' variant of your CPU and it'll easily overclock to over 4GHz (my old 2500K i5 is stable at 4.1 GHz - air cooled too - I don't run it at that though, dialled it back to 3.8 and it shaves about 10 reg off the core temps - should extend the lifespan) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PapaBear Posted March 19, 2016 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Not that great still, the phone company still have not installed broadband in our exchange yet so we have to use dongle and that only gives us 1.8 download and 1.2 upload on a good day. we are hoping they will get it sorted this year or I'm going to stick me a big aerial up in the garden lol. The PSU looks good,i think its time to part with some cash and get it built, the GPU will probably be the last item on the list. The cooling link looks good, that's the next thing i need to learn about so i will be bending your ears later on as i get on with the build.Its been a great learning curve so far finding out what does what and goes with what ,it will be good to learn how a PC works eventually. Blubear has got himself a job to do when he comes over for his sisters birthday because i have not a clue how to build or fire one up.
