  1. Bigger cache is better (faster) though, so it's also a performance thing - loading times again - Whether it's worth the extra money?
  2. @Crash: Thanks, Ifor that tip @Painless: No, not planning to... however... I might... will depend whether it'll be needing it ... lol
  3. Fireman, if you could be there that day, just be there, and represent us, that would be só good... Whether in uniform or not... being there is what counts... in my opinion... As far as I know, Jim never served... as I think he would've talked about it and I would've remembered... but of the latter, and so, of both ... I'm not sure, I'm a DD after all... From a different point of view: I cannot imagine Jim taking orders from anyone... (The two lines above are basically irrelevant, as I just don not know...)
  4. Oww... carp... I'm sooo sloooww tooodaaayy..... Even too slow for my instant reply to my own post to have it join it into that previous reply... someone's already replied ! Hey, I'm getting back up to speed her... second fast reply ... will it be joint to the other two? Yeah!!
  5. Here's a different way ... Press the 'Insert Link' icon above the edit window. Paste your link into the box titeld URL, that states 'http://" Type your text in the box name 'Link Text' below it. Like this: Press Insert Link, and there ya go! (Note that these icons do not appear in the quick reply window, you need to use the 'Full Editor')
  6. Oh, and I decided I want to make it look like the one that was at Duxford, though I know that was a MkII, I still want it... What is lacking is the three crew members, I will be needing 1/32 RAF or Navy modern guys... but I cannot find those in any of the online shops I visit. Anybody got a tip what to get / where to get it? Ty....
  7. Engine. Right hand side: Front: Rear: (After taking these pictures, using a flash, I see it needs some touching up. On the other hand... much of this will be invisible once completed.) Cowling:
  8. Started work on Trumpeters 1/32nd Fairey Swordfish. Link to the shop I got it from. Paint conversion chart as the paint I'm using currently could be some twenty years old... I'm working slowly on it, taking it one step at the time. Below pictures are from a period over a week... First Cockpit parts glued together: (The measure thingy shows cm's) Slapped some paint on it: Some more parts added, basically completing the cockpit. Here's the rear gunner's armament, it's already lost one photo edge part, there was a thingy to help aiming on the barrel... Need some more work on the paint on the outside, then again... this all will be completely inside and invisible, as I'm not going to use the clear plastic fuselage halves that came with the kit. I may cut out a panel or two later, I dunno yet. Haven't really got a clue what's next, will find out next time I open that beautiful box. Also, dunno yet what to do with the wings, both folded or not, or one folded, one extended. Paintscheme will be the not be the one shown on the box, but one from the 820 Sqdn, Ark Royal 1941.
  9. Bodnar board's pots can be easily wired the easiest way. I've routed both Earth and +5V from one pot to another, and only connected the third one to the middle connector on the bodnar board. This way you can use one of the black pop-on connector thingies to connect three pots, instead of using three of those ... No, not true, you will be needing one more, as you do need a +5V and Earth, for sure!
  10. Nice work B! Thinkin' out of the box there... using guitar parts.... and the "Why's that trigger button there? Why not... (...)" ... Nice! (You can lend my Dremel if you haven't found yours yet... )
  11. Brilliant job. But, does knowing this, does it still count as being 'home made' ?
  12. Well, at the moment I was only interested in the Barbarossa one, just put the others in the list because I tried them, and could not get them to work...
  13. Will do, and I do understand where this would come from... old stuff, dragged from here to there, then back, and forth...
  14. Hm, I'm guessing you're looking into this right now Roger? As, well, suddenly there's two files to download at that link, and yes, hooray! the .7z opens just fine now! (Ah, apparently, it took me over 4 minutes to type my reply ... lol)
  15. Well, it fixed it for the Malta missions, still the one file I'm looking for appears to be broken: Operation Barbarossa: http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/67-operation-barbarossa-coops1770zip/
  16. Using 7-Zip fixed it Rog, thanks! (Would it be wise / smart to put some warning somewhere about that 7-zip file type on the download page? Or is it common knowledge and I am lacking in that?)
  17. Yes, well, kinda... I got some issue to fix over here now... Thanks!!
  18. While researching the 'Selected Aircraft not created' message causes, I wanted to download a mission pack from the vault, to check the contents of a mission file in there. But while I could download the file, it resulted in a .zip file my Winzip refuses to open, same with winrar. Winzip message is: 'Cannot open the file. Is does not appear to a valid archive'. Tried some other mission packs, here's a list of those that I can download successfully, but result into a broken archive file. http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/549-dinos-malta-coop-missions/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/67-operation-barbarossa-coops1770zip/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/36-accepted-dd-missions26134zip/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/49-6-black-sea-il2-hanger24149zip/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/86-kursk2102zip/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/168-horrido1076rar/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/176-ddco-op309137rar/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/439-snackos-zuti-mds-missions-pack-3/ Here's a list of file that after downloading result into a correct archive. http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/73-1-1-madjeks-redtail-missionszip/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/53-1-1-madjeks-cactus-missions156zip/ http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/71-x1-1-madjeks-pacific-missions151zip/ If you look at the first list, you can see I can't even get my hands on Dino's malta pack he uploaded just Yesterday! Could any one please try and see whether the cause it the vault, or me and my internet connection? (I've tried two different computers, two different browsers...) Thanks in advance!
