  1. Check conf.ini contents, compare UP3 one with 4.11m one, either copy/paste the relevant part of conf.ini (can't check right now, at work), or they entire file from 4.11m to UP3...
  2. Congratulations mr. P. !! Brilliant!
  3. The gears did hold the weight of the aircraft, but in the end it nosed over. See the wheels being not really lined up with the rest... This all happened because I had to lower them manually, and it did not get down in time... Oh well.. (That one horizontal stabilizer we lost somewhere over the target, was not landing related.)
  4. Yeah, it's all good. What a mess! Edited by Sweper, Yesterday, 11:13PM No it aint. Edited by WhistlinggDeath, Today, 03:37AM Message reported to administrator by SkyPup, Today 6:16AM
  5. Oh, and it's there in UP3, not in stock 4.11m
  6. Thanks Kevin, tried the 'application controlled' for AF, AAx4 and indeed, FPS when low over water=4 stay up...
  7. What Arthur said, I'm wondering whether I should ask Kevin to do some maintenance on that 580... No, sorry, my bad, it's Forest=2 (Edited the original post)
  8. Guessing the OpenGL part of conf.ini for IL2? Or would you be needing the Nvidia control panel settings? Or both? [Render_OpenGL] TexQual=3 TexMipFilter=3 TexCompress=2 TexFlags.UseDither=1 TexFlags.UseAlpha=0 TexFlags.UseIndex=0 TexFlags.PolygonStipple=0 TexFlags.UseClampedSprites=0 TexFlags.DrawLandByTriangles=0 TexFlags.UseVertexArrays=1 TexFlags.DisableAPIExtensions=0 TexFlags.ARBMultitextureExt=1 TexFlags.TexEnvCombineExt=1 TexFlags.SecondaryColorExt=1 TexFlags.VertexArrayExt=1 TexFlags.ClipHintExt=0 TexFlags.UsePaletteExt=0 TexFlags.TexAnisotropicExt=1 TexFlags.TexCompressARBExt=1 TexFlags.TexEnvCombine4NV=1 TexFlags.TexEnvCombineDot3=1 TexFlags.DepthClampNV=1 TexFlags.SeparateSpecular=1 TexFlags.TextureShaderNV=1 HardwareShaders=1 Shadows=2 Specular=2 SpecularLight=2 DiffuseLight=2 DynamicalLights=1 MeshDetail=2 VisibilityDistance=3 Sky=2 Forest=2 LandShading=3 LandDetails=2 LandGeom=3 ;LandGeom=2 TexLarge=1 TexLandQual=3 TexLandLarge=1 VideoSetupId=17 Water=4 Effects=1 ForceShaders1x=0 PolygonOffsetFactor=-0.15 PolygonOffsetUnits=-3.0 All this for 580GTX. Remarks: Trees=2 Forest=2 - Prevents them weird trees growing out of runways, roads and rivers. 2x AF and 2x Supersample prevent Low FPS over water=4
  9. Thanks B, yes those 'hanger' missions set are quite good! I do host some of 'm quite regularly (in my set they are in folders named 'Kuban IL2-Hanger', 'Citadelle IL2-Hanger;'... I assume those are the ones you are referring to?)
  10. A feller named 'Drayu - The Dude' has got a page dedicated to IL-2, on the War is Hell gaming website. http://www.warishellgaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25841 There's a link in bolded red, 'CLICK HERE', it takes you to http://www.drayu.com/il2/, and there is a file named coop.rar. 65Mb of IL2 missions. Many of them are already in our 'base' of coops that should be somewhere in the vault, there's also some extra ones. I'm still working on a selection of 'good fun enough' coops... that's kinda difficult, as a big part of the fun is not knowing what is next, what will happen next, but one can only really judge a mission as being good fun, after one has run it. After that, one knows what will happen, and that takes out a big part of the fun. One way to reduce that risk is in having numbers, large numbers of missions. Currently, I got 2103 Coop missions for IL-2, though thre might be some doubles in there. Might also need to cleanup in a different way, as when I check for flying distance, some 680 missions have waypoints taking red and blue for a flight of over 120km's.... 18 missions with only one human player, hm, maybe those should not to be called coops ... lol Yeah, I'm rambling now...
  11. They must be using a new definition: MilliBit...
  12. Caucasus is a great map for this ... good choice!
  13. Map suggestion: Square Island
  14. Could we agree/decide on a specific Map+Grid to use? So anybody can create a mission and keep it all in one and the same atmosphere? There was a dogfight map that we used in warm up of Kevin's Bob campaign... that appears to be useful... Dino, as for the glider idea, better thank Sid, as I used his Pegasus mission for 'inspiration' ;-)
  15. Yes, good idea... (Add a dead-stick-action mission, maybe in a glider, flying a pattern 'round balloons, land on a specific spot?)
  16. Excellent job you're doing there Rattler...
  17. Very cool, them Radiators ...
  18. How did you reduce RPM's? By throttlin' back, or by reducing proppitch? Throttlin' back would decrease MP, lower proppitch would not change MP? I really do not know. I do not think CEM is modeled incorrectly, its more like it's simplified, and incomplete. And I do not know why I am posting here. Basically, I have nothing sensible to add. Probably I'm just bored....
  19. "Changes to darkness of night" 4.11m: 4.10.1m: Me likes that.
  20. That looks so silly ...where's the fun in that?
  21. If the shitty part was in his maths, he probably would've ended up nukin' Kiev, and bailin' out over Moscow?
