  5. My cockpit ends-up resembling that quite a bit. Usually it's even worse, the gunsight is also destroyed along with two or three of the gauges.

  7. Okeeedokeee. I'll have to give it a try & see if I can finally fine tune it to my taste.
  8. I tend to just use the default combat flight profile. Really like the way it locks into the forward view without shaking around. I just need to take the time & figure out how to tweak it so I can turn all the way backward like the CharveL profile. CharveL is just way to sensitive, my view bounces around like I'm having an epileptic fit & I can't focus on anything around me & then I get an eye strain headache.
  9. Thanks for the heads-up Shadow. I ran right over there & gave you some crap.
  10. Fryer may also be very appropriate when flying the Zero too.
  11. Every time we lose another of the great ones it saddens me. Glad you had the chance to get to know him.
  12. Ok, now I've got a question. Should I normally be flying at less than 100% mixture? The table tells when to step-up the SC and when to increase mixture. I usually fly at 100% except when taking off from a carrier with it at 120%. I would think that as the oxygen thins at higher altitude you'd have to decrease fuel mix or it would begin to run rich. just like leaving it at 120% after take-off and climbing a few 100 meters & the engine bogs-down & starts to cut-out. I'm totally confused now. Although it might help explain why I often have trouble keeping-up with my group during coops.
  13. Great shots there. I used to know a guy in the town where I grew-up who flew the A1. He said the pilots usually referred to it as the "dump truck" rather than the sky raider because of the amount of ordinance it could carry. I also remember him telling us about the time he misread his altimeter while dropping a large bomb on a ground target. He said that it literally shook his plane when it went off. Then he looked down at the floor to see light coming through a few shrapnel holes. Now for some reason I keep having visions of bouncing on those bungees while tandem strapped chest to chest with a Hooters girl.
  14. Bwhahahahha, gotch-ya! BTW, I like the marriage one too. Topless, on a leash, what's not to like?
  15. Great ones. I'll have to show "nagging" to the little woman later.
  16. Good one! I read it at home, so did the other half of coarse & I got that "look" when I burst out laughing. BTW here's one the Mother in law e-mailed me: This guy from Alberta is driving down a back road. A sign in front of a restaurant reads: Happy Hour Special... Lobster Tail and Beer 'Lord almighty" he says to himself, "my three favorite things!!"

    Headsets

Yeah Frior, that's how I was doing it before when using the lightweight headset with the round peg style plugs. Except I didn't even need the splitter because my laptop has 1 mic. & 2 headphone plug-ins for those type. When I got TIR I also got a new headset that the Pro Clip would work with (it wouldn't clip to the flimsy one I had been using), but the new headset has a usb plug and when I plug it in, the round jacks stop working. So I'm starting to think she's out of luck unless I can plug two usb headsets in at the same time. Anyone know the answer to that before I waste my money getting her some new headphones?

It's alright Logos you'll always be my little hunky monkey. We can share a sheep & make-up. Appearantly she can't listen-in now, so our secret is safe.

    Headsets

Do any of you know why my standard headphone jacks are disabled when I plug in my new USB headset? Is there a way to turn them back on so Kim can still listen-in with her headphones while we are flying?
  20. Wow, very detailed. Can't wait to see it progress.
