    I want one!

And here I thought I looked funny with my lap-top sitting atop a couple cardboard boxes on the coffee table. Throttle & stick on a foot stool and small drink cooler. Plus a few pillows stuffed behind me for back support on the couch. BTW, my wife thinks I lost my mind too.
  2. Yeah, wouldn't want to have them over-graze my little patch of land. I'll herd a few to everyone else's pastures.
  3. You can only sacrifice the sheep's virginity! That's it I'm taking your sheep into protective custody until you come to your senses.
  4. Yep Okie, that's the one. With shipping it ran me about $18 or $19 delivered. It's almost identical to the Badger that I once had.
  5. Ummm.... My real life shooting skills are much, much, better. I think that's one of the reasons my lack of ability to hit anything in the game just frustrates the living crap out of me. If I can take a bird out of the air with a single .22lr round, why can I not hit a big-ol airplane with a machine gun.
  6. It's the 1/48 scale kit from Academy. This is my first attempt at camo or model building at all since at least 20 years ago. The airbrush I'm using is a $20.00 Coleman Powermate running off of a can of compressed air. It's actually quite adjustable & does a pretty good job.
  7. Well I'm still not done, but used my extra day off to get a whole lot closer. Some pics of the painted interior when I first started the La-7 project. Then a few of progress to date. I still have to paint the panels behind the exhaust flaps, add exhaust & cannon staining, decals, and a strand of the little woman's hair for the antenna wire. (Edit) These pics suck. By the time I got the camouflage to show-up the light blue underside started looking light grey or white. You'll just have to trust the colors are correct when viewed in person. ~S~ Streaks
  8. ~S~ boys of the BF Had a great time providing you with much target practice. I had pretty good luck hitting your ships, but someone was always there to make me pay for it & I usually never seen who took me out.
  9. Thanks M8's. It's been a good day. Played hooky from work, flew for a couple hours. Then after the Miss. woke up she and our son took me out searching for old surplus rifles & we ran across some nearly impossible to find original stripper clips for my MN 91/30. SCORE!
  10. Yeah......all of you! I'm in skies of fire right now getting more than my fair share of birthday spankings. Get over there & help me out. ~S~
  11. Lockheed huh? From '87 through the mid 90's I worked for a company that did loads of castings for Lockheed, Martin-Marietta, ext, ext. Machine gun parts, Hellfire & cruise missile nose & fin assemblies, tow missile launcher components, ext. We built lots of cool toys of destruction. We even knew we were making parts for the stealth fighter long before that little crash in the desert made them admit we had it. And when that happened we had already been making parts for the stealth bomber for well over a year.
  12. Somehow I could see him being involved with this. Topless car wash bait & switch

    TrackIr questions

Thanks everyone. I'll have to download the profile when I get home & try it out.
  14. Hi all. Got my TrackIr4 Pro hooked-up & running (Oh GBMFrior! it's so much better than using the little joystick on my throttle ), but I need a bit of help. 1. Do you use the default air warfare profile in the TIr software, or is there another I'd be better-off downloading? 2. Sometimes when the game starts or I hit re-fly & spawn-in again, it messes-up. I'll suddenly find myself staring at my seat (if I were sitting in the cockpit I'd be staring at my crotch. Perhaps it knows I'm checking to be sure I've brought the flask of Single Malt along) rather than looking forward. So just how do I recenter it so I'm looking forward again without closing & restarting the programs? ~S~ Noobishstreak
  15. Ah ha! Their doom is at hand. Everybodody all together now........ Say NIEE! No no no BG. It's not Nu, it's niee. Got it now? Lets try again.
  16. Way cool I love the way the whole plane would rock from side to side when the engine was intermittently firing while idling on the ground.
  17. A big'ol Happy Birthday! to Tonar & Artie. Hey Tonar. Will we see ya in hyperlobby later waiting to be spanked in the sky?
  18. Hope they get it beat-down soon. We had so many fires this year, my lungs still haven't recovered. It's hard to believe we have anything left to burn at this point.
  19. That's good to know, but I always use the runway. After all you've seen how I meander my way down the runway to begin with. I can't hardly ever take-off from one of those narrow taxiways.
  20. I use rudder trim too. Especially in the Russian planes since they have no aileron trim, the rudder trim does tend to help tame the rolling & veering created by the engine torque.
