  1. ~S~ Chaps! Just upgraded my PC from XP to Win7 last night, now I'm busy getting all my old games re-installed. Especially now I can see what these Directx10/11 games look like. So... now things have settled down, how is CloD overall? A flash in the pan, or will everyone eventually leave IL-2 for it once it's matured further? Do you guys fly together with it often too? Ta, GK
  2. Absolutely tragic! Especially with his poor son watching it happen.
  3. Also, the standard free RealPlayer has an inbuilt option to download YouTube vids. You just right click on the YouTube vid and select download to RealPlayer.
  4. ~S~ you two! It went like this Snacko... IL-2 Warhammer Online LOTRO Eve Online Champions Online DCS: Black Shark Half Life 2 Portal Mass Effect 2 RIFT (beta) KOTOR 1 KOTOR 2 Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed II Aliens V Predators BEEP Minecraft TIE Fighter Magic The Gathering; Planeswalkers Team Fortress 2 So that's me at the moment, LOVING Team Fortress 2. Anyone else play it? It's free on Steam now and I can't stop laughing when I play it. Great sense of humour in this game. Normally I can't stand 1st person FPS, since they're swamped with cheating teens running hacks and auto-aim shit. But TF2 is great fun.
  5. This what you meant Tribunus?
  6. That's spooky! I just recently dug out my old Tie Fighter's Collector's CD (designed originally for MS-DOS) from my old games box and found out that you can patch it up with a new mod that GREATLY improves the graphics... http://www.darksaber...tpacktftc2.html http://www.xwaupgrade.com/ Totally awesome to play this old fave of mine with outstanding graphics. There's even a hex edit to get it to run at today's resolutions too. This is my fave 'bird' of all time....

Looking the biz Sid. But did you say you're going to fill in the gap in the wing roots after you spray it? Or did I misread that?
  8. Stick with GothKrieger. I had something similar a while back. I had the old, original, MSFFB joystick and loved it for years. Then it went t1ts up and I was lucky to get a MSFFB2 off my boss at work. I plugged this new one in and went flying. HOLY CRAP! I couldn't fly for sh1t. Trying to stay in level flight was impossible, the prop plane was like flying a F22 with the flight control computer switched off, it wouldn't stay still. So in the end I found that the axis profiles that worked for the old one, did not work at all for the new one. Something you are similarly experiencing now. So stick with it and get the axis profiles sorted and you won't regret it.
  9. if you want to map the extra buttons to keyboard commands, you can use a free program called AutoHotKey. I use it to centre my view. http://www.autohotkey.com/download/
  10. Was not expecting that! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGfGa3hYuSE&feature=related
  11. Sid, I'm the other way round. The 4 birds in a pig, I could give a miss, but that breakfast did look a bit tasty to me. Probably would be the last breakfast I ever ate, if I did eat it.
  12. Sweet indeed! I really like the weathering on the tail.
  13. Glad you both enjoyed it. @ Mr. Painless of Hampshire - Yeah I'll wait a bit for all the hoohah over CloD dies down and it becomes a bit more stable/refined, and then I'll get it and come back and have a pop at all you spitty fanboys.
  14. Some great lines from some great films...

  16. Seen this parody? http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/d2dce502f4/twin-men-have-a-conversation-official-video
  17. So if it was successful, why didn't they carry it on as normal? I guess just one Herc would tie up an entire carrier, and nothing else could launch or land till the Fat Albert buggered off?
  18. Another one here who has this, or the Aurora Australis, on their 'bucket list.'
  19. I thought micro-stutters were mainly disk I/O based, well they were with my problems with micro-stutters in other games. You know when you play a game and you travel somewhere new, and the game has to quickly load something from disk in to RAM. Add in some anti-virus software that scans all activity, then all these disk I/O loads add tiny delays to the game. Disable real-time protection from your AV software and it helps.
