I know how you feel OT. Too much choice. Been looking at motherboards myself lately. I narrowed it down to a P35 or an X38 chipset. X38s seem geared towards enthusiasts and have a lot of features I just wouldn't use. Plus they are expensive. P35s will do all I want, including overclocking. I rejected DDR3 capability at the moment, due to price of board and memory. Lol, good call Tonar. I got a Pro about a month back to replace my creaky X52. I loaded it, realized I'd have to re-assign everything, and put it back in the box, where it still sits. Once I'd cleaned the fag-ash and cake crumbs out of the old 52, it worked fine again.

You jogged my failing memory Pook. I had a conflict in T/S between the audio hardware on the graphics card, and my PCI Creative soundcard. Once I pointed T/S at the soundcard I was ok. Dont know if yours is a related issue. Cheers.

I made the assumption that vertical refresh is the same as v-synch. It did stop the 'shearing'. I was getting 35 fps min until one little stutter at about 60 seconds into the track. On the CCC screen, hit preferences, select Disable

I had a similar problem. On startup, it would tell me I was missng a .MOM file, and I couldn't access the CCC. It was related to not having MS .Net framework to version 2.0:

It says it has eSata-Anschluss. I thought that was the alliance with Austria to form Greater Germany? My machine was a similar spec when I bought it a year ago for £600. It has played the game great from day one.
