It could be some buggy code in the crack that's not playing nice with your particular config. Or a virus or something designed to initialize after a certain number of start ups or hours. To be sure, I just fed it to AVG and nothing popped up.

Hi Pooka For an extreme example, fire up the game and set the resolution to the minimum.

Native on mine is 1920x1200 but my frame rates suffer a little at that one. Off line I play at 1680x1050 and on line at 1440x900 Since I have vsync enabled (A must have with TrackIR), my frame rates never exceed 60fps (standard LCD refresh rate/60 hertz).
