  4. For those of you that know (and for those of you that dont, on 24th October the Dangerdogz will be holding our own Flying Legends Airshow. This display will take place on the Duxford map. Would those that are flying in the display please let me know what you will be flying in. If you want to keep it a secret please let me know by PM but I would like to start putting a schedule together. Note. I have extended the display time to between 10 and 15 minutes each. (If you require a bit more time, thats ok, I will not be shooting people down for over running!, although we dont need to see the same plane flying past over and over and over again.....) If you would rather beigin your display with an air start, please also let me know. For those not wishing to take a flying part, there will be an airfield to spawn into and then a camera to which to watch the display from. Preliminary Pilots Briefing These are my intended rules for the day (I am putting them out there now in case I have missed something) Comms - I intend to use the Main Lobby for spectators and for pilots not yet taking part. I intend to use the Allied Room for ATC. Pilots will be requested to move to this channel to receive take off/landing and holding instructions. I intend to use the Axix Rom for the pilots who are doing the current display (this to avoid any congestion on comms, they will obviously need silence and concentration). Fly In - Please arrive at the airfield in good time and park up on the flight line. Display - There will be 2 holding areas "North" and "South". Pilots will be dispatched to these areas ahead of their display. When you finish you display you will land and taxi past the crowd (you may move to the Main lobby comms for this if you wish) I will post more specific details as we progress towards the event...... Cheers Friar

    Tired...

An excellent post JP. I agree with a lot of what is in that post. We are forever being encouraged to understand the Muslim way. My kids have had to do projects on it at school. I would like to know if kids sorry, boys (arnt girls restricted on what they can lean?) in muslim schools ever do projects on understanding Christian ways? I doubt it.
  6. Hi Guys, You will need to update your Teamspeak client to the latest version.....

    Riat 2010...

Excellent work Jabo. Perhaps we should give you another title.....Squad Event Photographer......I was going to say Camp Photographer, but knew that would be wrong
  13. Ok, I cant pretend it was my own knowledge, yes, I did go to the font of all knowledge....
  14. what does it mean!... A rainbow does not actually exist at a particular location in the sky. Its apparent position depends on the observer's location and the position of the Sun. All raindrops refract and reflect the sunlight in the same way, but only the light from some raindrops reaches the observer's eye. This light is what constitutes the rainbow for that observer. The position of a rainbow in the sky is always in the opposite direction of the Sun with respect to the observer, and the interior is always slightly brighter than the exterior. The bow is centred on the shadow of the observer's head, or more exactly at the antisolar point (which is below the horizon during the daytime), appearing at an angle of 40–42° to the line between the observer's head and its shadow. As a result, if the Sun is higher than 42°, then the rainbow is below the horizon and usually cannot be seen as there are not usually sufficient raindrops between the horizon (that is: eye height) and the ground, to contribute. Simple really.....

    Member Map

Dogz and Hounds, Since we moved to this new board I think we had to start again with the pins in our member map (and no, that is not a drinking game played in the Red Lion after Duxford).. Please click on the "Member Map" link in the tab bar at the top of the screen and make sure you have a pin placed. It is nice to know where we all live....
  16. You are not alone Pappy (Nice to...post to you by the way).... During many a boring day in my old job hours would be spent thinking and planning the next dogz event and how to improve my flying
  17. On the matter of the church....I have been summoned to appear before the Abbot to explain why a group of pilots I have been associated with deemed it necessary to put back the roof restoration program...
  18. Back from holiday and is wondering what's new with the dogz?

Painless' gender re-alignment surgery was a success, apparently. So you call him Painfull from now on.

  19. Spurned on by the excitement of attending Flying Legends I thought It might be a good idea for us to have our own air show. I will put a Duxford map together to fly it on, all you have to do is pick a ride and work out a routine. You could perhaps pair up with a mate (or 2..) to do something special or just show off on your own. Each display should be no longer than, say, 5 minutes? Any plane from the Flying Legends era, (NO FRIGGIN' JETS!) The map will have an airstart spawn area to fly in from. You then land during an hour or so before the show is due to start and park up. There will be a fixed camera position that people will watch from, as if they are spectators at the event. A running order will be prepared. Perhaps someone would like to volunteer to be ATC. They would call up the next person, send them out to a holding grid and then call them in for the display etc. Please let me know what you think. Friar
  20. High furball, check my five, six and seven, Altitude I must gain. Flyers from around the world will come, Held in a gunsight, they will be done. To earth you'll be sent if 20 seconds is called. Excuse us the brief which we should have read. And let us forgive those that forget to hit fly, As they forgive those that vulche against them. Loose us not our Teamspeak server, And deliver us a connection with no lag. The sky is our kingdom, Be it death or for glory, Forever the Dogz Amen
